Acupuncture is an effective treatment for Bells Palsy, a condition where one side of the face becomes paralysed.
The patient may lose the ability to close the eye, smile or show any facial expression.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine aspect, Bells palsy is caused by a deficiency in 'Wei Qi' the protective Qi and also an invasion of "wind cold" or "wind heat". This prevents the flow of Qi and blood, resulting in loss of muscular movement.

In this patients case we were able to start treatment very quickly, which is most important for recovery.
