🧬✨ With my background as a biomedical scientist also I like to explain the exact cellular pathways

Polynucleotides are highly purified DNA-derived biostimulatory molecules that work by modulating cellular repair pathways and improving the extracellular environment around fibroblasts.

Here’s the science 👇

🧬 A2A adenosine receptor activation
Polynucleotides are thought to interact with adenosine A2A receptors on fibroblasts and inflammatory cells. Activation of these receptors promotes tissue repair, reduces inflammatory cytokine release and stimulates regenerative activity within damaged skin.

✨ Fibroblast upregulation
Fibroblasts become metabolically more active, increasing synthesis of:
• Type I collagen
• Type III collagen
• Elastin
• Glycosaminoglycans (including hyaluronic acid)

This improves dermal density, elasticity and skin quality over time.

💧 Extracellular matrix remodelling
Polynucleotides support the extracellular matrix (ECM) by improving hydration and cellular signalling within the dermis. This creates a healthier microenvironment for cellular regeneration and tissue repair.

🩵 Reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging
One of the major causes of peri-orbital ageing is oxidative stress. Polynucleotides have antioxidant properties that help neutralise free radicals and reduce ROS-mediated cellular damage.

Studies suggest polynucleotides may support angiogenesis and microvascular function, helping improve oxygenation and nutrient delivery within delicate peri-orbital tissue.
