Ayrshire college? Completed it! ✅

Brought my old copy of spiritual midwifery by .gaskin up to my garden to start reading again. Never did I imagine when Ina signed this copy for me back in 2012 that I would embark on my own midwifery journey at the age of 40 but here we are! 🤰✨

I had a fantastic day today up at the UWS offer holder event! It made this next part chapter of my journey feel real for the first time! 🥹 I absolutely cannot wait to start in September 🤩

I can’t think of a prettier way to share with you all that a new chapter of my life’s journey is about to begin! 🤩

I feel so privileged to have been offered a place to study Midwifery at UWS this year! If you’ve been around for a while you will know women and their babies have been my life’s work. My passion for providing care and support for women on their journey to motherhood has seen me take on the roles of Doula and Antenatal teacher over the last 15 years as well as wee stints as a breastfeeding helper with the BfN, a Hypnobirthing practitioner and a member of Ayrshire and Arrans MSPG. But in the back of my mind, since I was a little girl, all I’ve ever wanted was to be a midwife and now is the time! 🤩

I celebrated by treating myself to some goodies from 🥰 I’ve admired Hannah’s beautiful artwork for years and to finally be able to buy myself these gorgeous student midwife items feels like an absolute dream come true! 🤩

So thankful for the lovely share by Community Wellbeing Hub CIC today! The centre and the wonderful women that run it has completely changed my life this last year! Im so grateful to them for fhe opportunities they have given me to heal personally and progress professionally 💖

Volunteer Spotlight

Let me introduce Rosie

We first met her , back when we first opened in 2021 , when her and her teenagers joined us for our workshops assisting families with holistic therapies .

She then joined us for a 4 month journey as a Hub client by GP referral . We watched her confidence grow and then followed her progress as she retrained at Ayrshire college .

Rosie has over 20 years experience of the holistic world , running women’s groups , empowering new mothers , teaching family yoga and working as a Doula assisting families from early pregnancy through birth and all the stages after .

She completed her clinical placement with us for college and has volunteered with us over the last 2 years . Helping us take over schools for the day , offering wellbeing sessions to council departments , assisting with hub sessions , running our women’s group and much more .

She is totally part of our centre family and we are very grateful to have her .

We are looking forward to watching her grow and the next stage of her story 💕✨.

I look terrible BUT I had such a wonderful day with Lisa at .co.uk today! Meeting up with again after so long, and finally meeting Denise Tiran and having her sign my book were definite highlights! Already looking forward to next year! 🤩

It is getting INTENSE!

Just one full month left of college and practical assessments and written assignments coming at us full steam ahead now! I had a moment of panic today where I wondered if I would actually be able to get everything done in time but I’m back to feeling hopeful and positive that I WILL get to the finish line
