✨ What a year it has been… ✨
Looking back, this one really had everything.
1 & 2
The year started in my old Workshop in Torquay 🏡
My very first purpose renovated space after starting out from a spare bedroom back in 2016.

One of the last transformations there was this first time lash lift.
After wearing extensions, she joked she wanted it as dramatic as possible… it did not disappoint 😂✨
4, 5 & 6
Keys to our new house at the end of February 🔑
Which meant March and April were spent building the new and improved Workshop from scratch 🛠️
Now with air conditioning, a heated bed, and a TV to make 1-1 training even better 🤍
7–10
This year I welcomed 124 new clients and so many students 🙌
I launched my Lash Lift Masterclass and my Hybrid Brows course, now also part of my 2 Day Complete Brows Course.
The bar was raised and my students truly smashed it ✨

We sadly lost our Boston Terrier Monti 💔
Now is the biggest baby in the house and keeps us smiling 🐾

🥹 a lash and brow tech milestone moment
My daughter had her very first proper brow wax today 🤍
As a brow artist and a mum, this one felt BIG 🥹
This was the first time the full follicle had ever been removed
And this is important 👇
When brows have never been waxed before
The follicle is intact
The hair is stronger at the root
Which means the first wax can feel more intense
This is where prep and aftercare matter just as much as technique ✨
❄️ skin prep
I used .uk freeze brow tonic to cleanse the area and help reduce discomfort
Good prep can genuinely change the client experience
🛡️ pre wax protection
second skin was applied before waxing
This supports the skin barrier and helps limit redness and irritation
✨ post wax finishing
skin blur was used to soothe, hydrate, and visually soften redness
💡 managing comfort, skin response, and recovery
Is part of professional brow work
Not just hair removal ❌
This is such a good reminder for artists
Your products and your process matter just as much as your technique
Especially for first time waxing clients 🤍
And yes… she walked away very happy with her brows 💖
💭 first brow waxes are always a moment
💭 save this if you wax brows or are learning to
🔥 stop wasting your product
If you have never cut open an “empty” tube… you are missing out 👀
Inside every tube there is so much leftover product
And you can easily get every last bit out
Just cut it open ✂️
Scoop out what is left with a clean brush 🖌️
Slide the ends back together to keep it sealed 👍
This little trick has saved me so much money
And honestly every lash and brow artist should be doing it 💸
Small steps like this make you more efficient
And they make your products last longer too ✨

👉 over-processing lashes
Processing times aren’t one-size-fits-all.
They depend on:
✨ the thickness of the lash cuticle
✨ whether the lashes are fine or coarse
✨ the natural porosity of the hair
✨ the temperature of the room
✨ even how warm or cool your solutions are
Get this wrong, and you risk dry, brittle, or over-processed lashes.
Get it right, and you’ll have healthy, lifted lashes every time.
So while we can all agree cupcakes, donuts and croissants are equally delicious… there’s no “one right answer” when it comes to lash lift timings.
