MARCH APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE NOW ✅

Tips on what to DO ✅ and NOT ❌ do before your next lash appointment:

1. Caffeine & Alcohol can cause your eyes to flicker and twitch during your appointment making it really hard for your lash technician to work. It can also spike some people’s nervousness and anxiety making you less able to relax.

2. Oil based products are a big big no no, pre and post your lash appointment. Although your lashes should be cleaned before your appointment by your technician, some products are quite difficult to remove. In addition to this, if you arrive with oily products on your face this can cause poor adhesion and retention (especially with fans that are handmade during your Russian & hybrid sets as some lash techs use a method called “the pinching method” using their fingers which may be hard to avoid getting oil on as their hands have to touch your face / forehead during application.

3. Eyelashes curlers & lash lifts must be avoided before your appointment. Eyelash curlers can cause poor adhesion, resulting in poor retention. They are also quite damaging for your natural lashes if not used correctly, they can pull your lash out from the root which may lead into permanent damage if you use them consistently. Lash lifts MUST be done 6-8 weeks before any lash application, your technician shouldn’t be applying to your lashes if you have had a lash lift sooner than this.

4. Makeup & Strip lashes… where do I begin! 😂 your makeup will most likely come off during your lash appointment, due to the same reasons in point 2 ⬆️ it can also affect adhesion and retention. If you arrive to your appointment with eye makeup on, including mascara / strip lashes / remnants of strip lash glue, your technician is going to have to spend some time removing this (it can take a while), this time spent will be often deducted from your lash slot that is booked out for you, meaning less coverage during your lash application. You pay for your lashes out of your hard earned cash!! You want to be happy with them!!! But this may be difficult to fulfil if your technician is left with little time to complete the full appointment.

Tips on what to DO ✅ and NOT ❌ do before your next brow appointment:

1. Avoid using products with Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) or Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) for AT LEAST one week before your brow appointment. These acids increase the skin’s sensitivity, resulting in a higher chance of irritation, redness and skin grazing.

2. Avoid Retinol & Vitamin A for AT LEAST a week before your appointment, as these products increase your skin cell turnover, making your skin thinner and more sensitive, potentially increasing the chances of irritation, redness and skin grazing. If you use prescription strength retinoids, please allow AT LEAST 14 days before your brow appointment.

3. Recent sun exposure from sunbeds and any recent sunburns may also increase the chances of skin burns / grazing. You should not be having any waxing treatment done over sunburn, please allow 72 hours pre and post treatment. (Remember your SPF when using sunbeds / in the sun!)

4. Wearing fake tan to your appointment can impact the outcome of your tint, it may turn orange or green. Please avoid applying tan to your face and brows pre and post appointment! (Yes your brows can still change colour if tan is applied afterwards!)

5. Chemical peels and Laser treatments must be done at least 4 weeks before any waxing treatment is carried out.

6. Accutane / acne medication makes the skin VERY dry and VERY thin, we recommend leaving your skin for around 6 months before having any waxing treatments done, to avoid any skin irritation, burns or grazing. You can still have a brow treatment done, we would just recommend the hairs to be plucked out than waxed.

7. Avoid any skin scrubs or exfoliants AT LEAST 48-72 hours before your brow treatment. Skin scrubs and exfoliants can cause skin irritation and increased sensitivity.

✅ DO make sure you let your brow technician know of any new or recent medications, any changes in your medical records or any new pregnancies.
✅ DO let your brow technician know if you have suffered with skin grazing before or any other problems after any previous brow treatments.
✅ DO leave your brows to grow out before your appointment!
