June/July is one of our busy periods during which appointments get snapped up quickly. However, customers frequently move and cancel appointments, creating last minute availability.

I’ve created an empty WhatsApp ‘broadcast’ list which you are welcome to join to receive notification of last minute appointments.

The broadcast feature differs from the regular WhatsApp groups in that outgoing messages from me are broadcasted to all on the list whilst incoming messages are one-to-one. No one else receives your outgoing message.

If you’d like to be added to the list follow these steps:

1. Add Watson’s Barber’s WhatsApp number to your contacts - 07305 470949 or scan the attached QR code.

2. Contact me on the WhatsApp number, including your NAME and the message “Add me”.

Booksy Update

Finally, after more than 4 weeks of bug fixes Booksy appears to be functioning as it should. If you’re up to date with version 2.1.74 (released 4 days ago) there should be no issues logging in and booking an appointment.
If you’ve lost all confidence in the app then appointments can be made through the browser version by clicking the “Book Now” button on our social media profiles or the “Open Booking App” at www.watsonsbarbers.co.uk

Booksy have been propelled to the very top of “The List” (some of you know what that means) for the business wrecking piece of rubbish app it’s currently proving to be.
I’m blazing because we’re experiencing a huge downturn in business due to bugs.
I know it’s frustrating, tedious and a right load of messing about - and I’m chief amongst the furious - but please do update the Booksy app on your devices so we can start cutting again.

Booksy have released another “bug fix” v1.1.73.

Booksy App - Urgent Update Required

Many Booksy users have recently experienced issues with the Booksy app: automatically logged out; service history disappeared; pending appointments disappeared; unable to find availability etc.

This has been an ongoing problem with the app beginning several weeks ago with very damaging consequences to our business. Our calendar this week has been sparse, to say the least, and next week is looking even worse. In addition to the financial loss caused by the forced closure of our business, other restrictions and a general hike in costs any further continuance in the poor performance of the Booksy app will plunge us into difficulty.

I’m currently in contact with Booksy to find some resolution and answers but to little avail except for an admission that there is a bug affecting its performance.

The recent update v2.1.72 (475) resolves some of the issues and will open the calendar showing accurate availability. Many customers are commenting that we are showing zero availability when, in fact, we have many open appointments.

Please update your Booksy app to the latest version by visiting the Apple or Android App Store. To check the version in use go on the Booksy app to Profile>About Booksy. The version number is shown at the bottom of the screen.

We’re receiving a measure of comments from customers about Booksy’s performance, namely 1) unable to register, 2) appointment availability appears nil, and 3) browser version unusable. It appears that these bugs have existed for two or three weeks, which might account for the drop in business we’re experiencing.
I’ve contacted Booksy who have assured me that both the app and browser versions have now been debugged and should now function properly.
Please update the Booksy app to the latest version 2.1.71
