Rhinoplasty (RIE-no-plas-tee) is surgery that changes the shape of the nose. The motivation for rhinoplasty may be to change the appearance of the nose, improve breathing or both.

Hair loss is an undesirable condition that occurs in every stage of life due to genetic, hormonal, old age and some chronic diseases. Today, there are various degrees of hair loss in more than 50% of men and more than 25% of women. The hair is in a continuous cycle. In this cycle, some of the hair grows while some of the hair is lost. The lost hair roots enter a certain resting phase (Telogen Phase). After this period, Anagen Phase is entered. In this period, hair starts to grow and the hair in this period constitutes 80-90% of all hair. This period lasts about 3-4 years. In the phase we call Catagen Phase, the growth stops, the hair is weak, and becomes thin. There is no hair loss in this period. These periods are intertwined and they follow one another. The repetition on average is every 3-4 years.

In males, hair loss usually occurs in the so-called androgenic type, causing hair loss in forehead and top. On the other hand, in these people the hair in the nape region, and behind the two ears is never lost. The main reason for this type of hair loss is that the hair follicles are susceptible to the testosterone hormone found in men. The absence of hair loss on the nape of the neck is due to the fact that the hair roots present here are not sensitive to this hormone. Since there is no hair loss in these parts, hair follicles are obtained from this region.

How many types of Hair Transplant are there?

Today, there are two methods in the world that are preferred for hair transplantation and are preferred in terms of the natural look of the results. These are the FUT method and the FUE method. These are alternative methods to each other.

How does FUT implementation work?

In the FUT method approximately 12-14 cm. length and 3 cm. wide elliptical hair is taken under local anesthesia. The hairs on this strip are separated into Single, Double and Triple hair groups and they are prepared for the transplant. During this process, hair roots are never damaged. These prepared hair groups are carefully placed in the planned places by opening the holes one by one. Placement is performed to create a natural look hairline.
