A ‘stickie’ is lash industry slang to describe one lash getting stuck to a neighbouring lash.😱This is usually due to unsuccessful isolation or applying too much glue to the lash extension.😓😬⁣⁣

As you can see above, there are 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 types of common stickies which we need to look out for when lashing!🤓 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦… ⁣⁣

👀 𝐄𝐗𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝟏 shows when a 𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧. These are the most common (because those sneaky baby lashes can slip into the tweezers when isolating) & they’re also the 𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐆.🥺⁣⁣

👀 𝐄𝐗𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝟐 is when 𝟐 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. This type of stickies is the 𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐄𝐒𝐓 to spot when checking your work at the end of the treatment, & arguably the 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞.🤔⁣⁣

👀 𝐄𝐗𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝟑 is when 𝟐 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. This can occur when you apply an extension which you’ve then removed, but the lingering glue residue that the natural lash is covered in adheres to a neighbouring lash. You must really watch out for these, as 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠!😱⁣⁣

Well, we know lashes have different stages of growth. 📈⁣⁣

Baby lashes grow much quicker than a full-grown lash that is in the “resting stage”. 🤓 If a baby lash becomes stuck to a fully grown lash, it will keep growing and could simply pull the resting lash out, permanently damaging the hair follicle. And how many times have you heard someone say 'eyelash extensions have ruined my natural lashes´? Well, if it wasn’t for stickies and poor application, eyelash extensions would never cause any damage to natural lashes! 😩😳⁣⁣
