If you are local come down to the Gaping Goose Xmas fair. Lots of stalls here and of course me and Jo, selling FM world products and raising money for charity

I have just paid for a homeless man, that I have been friends with for a while now, to go into a hostel for 2 weeks until he can go to the hospice for palliative care. The hostel is a charity and costs £20 per week and they feed, cloth and provide a single room for their guests. They can only do this through peoples donations.
And it's for these reasons Jo and I set up Raise Funds With Us.
Remember we donate 50% of our retail profit to charity with every purchase you make.

Here at Raise Funds With Us we like to support small independent businesses, just like ours! It's my 50th today and I have been one lucky lady and have received some amazing gifts from fabulous small businesses, some of which I can also say are fabulous friends too.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day and our charity in the spotlight is The Jordan Legacy. I have shared their post because what they say about Jordan and the work they do to stop su***de taking a life, is all the words that are needed.

At the request of one of our followers, we have added TJL to our codes as one of the charities we support.

Today marks World Su***de Prevention Day.

It also marks 3 years, 9 months and 4 days since we lost Jordan to su***de.

The pain of losing Jordan will never subside, but we have made it our mission at The Jordan Legacy to prevent others losing their lives this way, and to ensure that those feeling desperate and unable to cope can find hope in their lives again.

The results from TJL/MEL Research Survey (https://lnkd.in/eGXc6ayQ) show how far we have to go - 1 in 15 adults in the UK have made a su***de attempt; 1 in 3 have known someone who died by su***de; 1 in 8 have lost a close friend or family member to su***de...

6000+ lives lost to su***de annually in the UK alone, each directly affecting an average of 135 people, equating to 800,000 people affected by su***de loss every year.

Every death by su***de is one too many. We need to make su***de prevention a priority - educate ourselves on the signs, on how to support those struggling, open up the conversation, provide better provision for those suffering to access the help they need...
