Why are appointments sometimes difficult to get?

Because our salon is more than a salon.

Alongside our client work, we also train future hairstylists and hair extension specialists through our academy.

At the moment, we work with clients only three days per week, while the rest of our time is dedicated to education, mentoring and training.

This means appointment availability is more limited than in a traditional salon.

If you have a special occasion, holiday or event coming up, we always recommend booking in advance.

Hair colour is not hair care.

This might be one of the most important things we tell our clients.

Many women invest hundreds of pounds every year in balayage, highlights, blonding services and colour corrections.

But very few invest the same attention in the health of their hair.

Beautiful colour can make your hair look amazing.

Healthy hair is what makes it stay amazing.

The reality is that colour services, especially blonding services, put stress on the hair structure. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t colour your hair. It simply means you should care for it properly afterwards.

The past few weeks have been emotional, difficult and full of reflection.

Sometimes life asks us to pause. To appreciate people more. To be grateful for the moments we often take for granted.

But it also reminds us that life goes on.

And there is something beautiful about that.

Today, we return to doing what we love. Creating beautiful hair, having meaningful conversations, sharing laughter with our clients and helping women feel confident again.

Because behind every colour, every haircut and every transformation, there is a person who deserves a moment for herself.

Today, we say goodbye to someone who was much more than a client.

Cristina was part of the Leeds Style Concept family for over 8 years. She sat in our chairs, shared her stories, celebrated milestones with us, laughed with us, and became a familiar and much-loved part of our salon.

Last week, our hearts were broken by the news that Cristina passed away at just 35 years old after being diagnosed with an aggressive cancer that was discovered far too late.

It is difficult to find the right words when someone so young, full of plans, dreams and life, is taken away so suddenly.

Cristina loved beautiful things. She loved travelling, good food, flowers, being surrounded by people she cared about, and like many of our clients, she always enjoyed leaving the salon feeling confident, beautiful and ready for whatever life had in store.

The salon feels a little different knowing she will never walk through our doors again.

Today, we are not only mourning a client. We are mourning a friend.

Her passing is a reminder to all of us that life is precious, fragile and often far shorter than we imagine.

Take the trip.

Make the phone call.

Spend time with the people you love.

Look after your health.

Don’t keep waiting for the “right time” to live your life.
