✨ Highlights can bring brightness closer to the roots and throughout the hair. Fine sections can create a delicate blend, while more defined sections give greater contrast.

The techniques can also be combined. You don’t need to know the technical name of the service before booking.

Previous bleach, darker dyes and colour applied at home are all useful parts of your hair history.

Even if a colour has faded, we still need to know it was there. It helps us assess your starting point and plan where further lightening may be appropriate.

Please don’t worry about being judged for a box dye or a DIY experiment. Honest information helps us make better decisions for your hair.

Bring your inspiration photo, but also tell us about previous colour services, smoothing treatments and any breakage you’ve noticed.

Sometimes the plan will involve more than one appointment. Sometimes we’ll recommend a pause from lightening.

Sometimes the goal is to fill out the sides, add fullness through the ends or create a more balanced shape while keeping a familiar length.

Adding more hair isn’t automatically the right answer. We need to consider how much your natural hair can support and where the extra fullness is actually needed.

A softly blended balayage can give you more flexibility between lightening appointments.

For many clients, a full balayage refresh may be around 4–6 months apart. Your natural colour, the contrast you choose and how bright you like your blonde will influence that timing.

You may still want a toner between visits to refresh the shade, along with trims and appropriate care at home.

The placement matters, too. A bright face frame or colour close to the roots may need attention sooner than a softer, more blended look.
