A 24K gold facial is a luxury skincare treatment that uses real gold particles or gold-infused products to enhance skin radiance, improve texture, and give a visibly glowing, rejuvenated look. It’s often found in high-end salons and spa menus.

💆‍♀️ What Happens During a 24K Gold Facial?

The process is similar to a classic facial but with gold-based products:
1. Cleanse – Removes dirt, oil, and makeup
2. Exfoliation – Gets rid of dead skin cells
3. Gold serum/cream application – Infused with gold particles
4. Gold mask or gold leaf – Applied to boost radiance
5. Massage – Improves circulation and product absorption
6. Moisturise + SPF – Locks in hydration and protection

🌟 Key Benefits

✨ Instant glow
Gold reflects light, giving skin a luminous, radiant finish immediately after treatment.

💧 Deep hydration
Most gold facials include hydrating ingredients that plump the skin.

🔄 Anti-aging effects
Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and improves skin elasticity.

🧖‍♀️ Detoxifying
Supports removal of toxins and improves circulation.

🧘‍♀️ Soothing & anti-inflammatory
Can calm redness and irritation for some skin types.

👩‍⚕️ Who Is It Best For?
• Dull, tired-looking skin
• Dry or dehydrated skin
• Mature skin (fine lines, loss of elasticity)
• Special occasions (weddings, events, photoshoots)

A Dragon’s Blood facial is a professional skincare treatment that uses a serum or mask made from dragon’s blood extract—a deep red resin taken from trees like Croton lechleri. Despite the name, it’s completely plant-based 🌿

In salons, it’s often combined with treatments like:
• Microneedling
• Dermaplaning
• LED light therapy

to boost absorption and results

✨ Key Benefits for the Skin

1. Anti-ageing & firming
• Stimulates collagen production → firmer, plumper skin
• Helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles

2. Deep hydration & “plumping”
• Acts like a “second skin” barrier, locking in moisture
• Leaves skin looking instantly smoother and fuller

3. Soothing & anti-inflammatory
• Calms redness, irritation, and sensitive skin
• Great for acne-prone or reactive skin

4. Skin repair & healing
• Supports wound healing and skin regeneration
• Helps improve acne scars and uneven texture

5. Brightening & glow
• Antioxidants fight dullness and environmental damage
• Leaves skin looking more radiant and even-toned

👩‍⚕️ Who Is It Best For?

✔️ Ageing or mature skin
✔️ Dry or dehydrated skin
✔️ Acne scars or uneven texture
✔️ Sensitive or inflamed skin

⚠️ Avoid or patch test if you have:
• Latex allergies (similar plant compounds)
• Very reactive skin

⏱️ Results & Downtime
• Instant glow & plumpness after one session
• Best results after a course of 3–6 treatments
• Usually little to no downtime (unless combined with microneedling)

💡 Pro Tip (Salon Grade Insight)

For salon-grade results, combining Dragon’s Blood with:
• Microneedling → deeper collagen stimulation
• Hyaluronic acid → extra hydration
• LED (red light) → anti-ageing boost

…will give much more visible, long-lasting results than a basic facial alone.

A jelly mask (also called a rubber mask or hydrojelly mask) is a skincare treatment made from algae-based ingredients that transform into a soft, jelly-like consistency when mixed with water. It’s commonly used in facials at spas and clinics.

Key Benefits
• Deep hydration – locks moisture into the skin
• Soothing & cooling – great for sensitive or irritated skin
• Boosts product absorption – helps serums underneath pe*****te better
• Brightening & detoxifying – depending on the ingredients used
• Reduces redness & inflammation

How It Works

Jelly masks are usually applied after serums or treatments. Once placed on the skin, they:
• Create a vacuum-like seal that pushes nutrients into the skin
• Cool down the skin temperature
• Firm up into a rubbery texture, then peel off in one piece

Common Ingredients
• Algae / seaweed extracts – hydrate and nourish
• Hyaluronic acid – for intense moisture
• Charcoal – detoxifying
• Vitamin C – brightening
• Tea tree – helps with acne

Who It’s Good For

✔ Dry or dehydrated skin
✔ Sensitive or inflamed skin
✔ Post-treatment (like facials, waxing, or exfoliation)
✔ Anyone wanting a glowing, refreshed look

A high-frequency facial is a gentle, non-invasive skincare treatment that uses a low-level electrical current delivered through a glass electrode. It’s commonly used to treat acne, reduce inflammation, and rejuvenate the skin.

⚡ What happens during a high-frequency facial?

During the treatment:
• A therapist glides a glass electrode wand over your skin
• The device produces a mild electrical current and a soft buzzing sound
• You may notice a subtle orange or violet glow and smell ozone (clean, antiseptic scent)
• It feels like a light tingling sensation

🌿 Benefits of a high-frequency facial
• Kills acne-causing bacteria
• Reduces breakouts and inflammation
• Helps shrink enlarged pores
• Improves blood circulation
• Promotes collagen and elastin production
• Can reduce puffiness and dark circles

🔬 How it works

The electrical current produces oxygen molecules that:
• Create an antibacterial effect on the skin
• Increase circulation and cell renewal
• Help skin heal faster

⏱️ Results & recovery
• No downtime — you can resume normal activities right away
• Skin may look slightly pink but quickly settles
• Results can be seen after a few sessions, especially for acne

⚠️ Who should avoid it?

Avoid high-frequency facials if you:
• Are pregnant
• Have a pacemaker or heart condition
• Have metal implants in the treatment area
• Have very sensitive or broken skin

📅 How often should you get one?
• Typically once a week for acne-prone skin
• Maintenance treatments every few weeks once skin improves

This weeks facial was a good dermaplane followed by Microneedling. I can’t stress how this once a month or every 6 weeks really helps keeping your skin fresh and a nice natural glow!
