Fantastic 5* review from a new client. Thank you for sharing your experience π
Feedback matters and I am so grateful for it.
Check out the before and after results of this recent European Face lifting session.
Facial lifting techniques are great to naturally improve and tone your contours but also a fantastic way to relax.

Did you know that you can now book Natural Lift Facial Massages with me? π
Here's a fantastic example. My client was very pleased with the result!
What are the benefits of a Natural Lift Facial Massage?
Tension can build up in different areas, with the back, neck, or shoulders being the most common ones. However, the face is also a prime area for tension. The natural lift facial massage can assist in releasing tension from your facial muscles, neck and shoulders. IT is also beneficial for stimulating your nervous system, improving lymphatic flow and balancing your skin condition.

Back-inbalance treatments start already at the consultation stage, where I encourage clients to have a positive mindset about how they want to feel after their massage.
So instead of saying 'less pain or less tension' the aim is to describe what the body feels like when there is no p&t.
That's proving challenging for most clients but once they get off the table and feel into their body after their massage, they get it!
Yesterday, I had one of my regular clients and his feedback was fantastic. It just makes my day hearing comments like this.
Here's a fantastic and informative video where Mark explains how the EMMETT technique works.
Back-Inbalance is so much more than just massage. It's about body balance, EMMETT muscle release technique, and movement. I love animalflow, especially when flowing with others.

In 2019 I had the pleasure of supporting crew at their gravelbike event in the Kielder forest.

It was a fantastic event, well organised and in a beautiful location (apart from the poor phone reception π).
I was looking forward to joining them again last year but a certain virus came along.
Hopefully, there will be a new opportunity again in the future.

What's the last book π you really enjoyed reading?
Mine is this one:
The body keeps the score by Bessel van der Kolk.
Perfect for a grey Friday. You will find me comfy on the couch with a coffee βand this π, soaking up the interesting discoveries about the body and trauma.
"The only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experience and learn to befriend what goes on inside us."
"In order to change you need to open yourself to your inner experience."
Need I say more...

Celebrating little successes!
ππ«
I think this is a great reminder because often we find ourselves under pressure when we try so hard to change habits or improve mobility or our wellbeing. Especially when we see on social media what others do and what looks like perfection to us. We then aim for the perfection but it should not be about perfection!
I think it's more important to focus on progress and about celebrating individual successes because they're the ones that motivate us!
Maybe you have an exercise you were not be able to do and with repetition and practices you got better every day and then finally achieve this particular exercise.
That's the moment to celebrate, because that's what then drives you to continue and it gives you motivation to know that if you were not able to do this a while ago but now
you can reach this far, you can go even further in you next step!
It tells you that because you've set your mind to it and you really focused, you achieve it! Doesn't it feel great?
ππ
When you celebrate the little success, it helps you achieve greater things.
So remember, if you have plans to improve your wellbeing, maybe to be more flexible, to achieve more movement, or to reduce pain or discromfort in your body, celebrate the little steps of success!
Aim for progress not perfection.

Fantastic research project from one of the EMMETT UK tutors. If you were not sure yet what to think about the EMMETT technique, here are some great results!
Really excited that the research work carried out by our Senior Instructor Tony Sherry has been published. The whole article can be seen online at this link
http://www.positivehealth.com/article/bodywork/changes-in-self-reported-pain-scores-following-a-single-emmett-technique-treatment
The conclusions of his work with 58 hospital staff in a London Teaching Hospital can be seen below. This is a great boost for us as an EMMETT Technique family. It gives us opportunities to prove that we can make a change to pain and discomfort and also that EMMETT is a very useful way to assist the wellbeing of employees in any work situation
βThis study has proven that the EMMETT Technique is a valuable therapy for the treatment of pain and discomfort and has been particularly useful in helping one participant on long-term sick leave return to work. Additionally, as it can be done in the workplace in a short period of time without the need to remove clothing, it is a highly adaptable therapy that can be included in any work setting for the health and wellbeing of staff members. Therefore, it could be a valuable addition to any staff programme for protecting the health and wellbeing of their staff, especially where back and joint pain has been identified as a potential risk to employees. The EMMETT Technique can assist companies and their staff in reducing sick leave from ongoing back pain.β
