Some of the worlds most talented, beautiful people have red hair. Only 4% in the U.K are lucky enough to posses such beauty. Most of us have something called undertone in our hair. The tone of the hair is dependent on the ratio of black or brown eumelanin to yellow or red pheomelanin. Meaning that when you want a desired colour your hair colourist have to take this into account. So when concerns are raised prior to colouring that the desired result is not to be ( normally in a pejorative tone) “Ginger” not only is this term offensive, it is sometime beyond our control. Not all Instagram pin up hair models will have the same ratio reflective.
Yes red, copper tones don’t suit everyone, these beauties tend to have a pale’r complexion and stunning green eyes to match. This doesn’t mean that these tones should be looked upon with such dustain! Plus my son has “Ginger” hair and he f* rocks.
