This winter, protect yourself and those around you by getting vaccinated. If you're eligible for a free flu or Covid-19 vaccine, now is the time to book.
Free flu vaccines are available for those aged 65 and over, people who have a weakened immune system or long-term health conditions, pregnant women, and children aged 2 and 3-years-old.
Free Covid-19 vaccines are offered to people aged 75 and over, those with weakened immune systems, and care home residents.

The forum allows residents to 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚 and will provide information and updates about what is happening within the ward.

Leeds Libraries is carrying out a short survey to find out what people need, how they use (or don't currently use) our libraries and what's important to them. We want to encourage people from all Leeds communities to take part and have a say in determining our future direction. The results will inform the next library service strategic plan.

Sign up for Healthy Holidays Leeds this Summer! School-aged children and young people eligible for income-related free school meals can take part in amazing, free activities with a healthy meal until 29 August. Activities vary and can include sports, outdoor activities, dance, arts and crafts, as well as visits to attractions like Temple Newsam and Lotherton Hall. Every child and young person will receive a tasty nutritious meal that meets their dietary requirements. There are Healthy Holidays clubs across Leeds. Leeds City Council is delighted to launch the UKSPF Leeds Community Power Fund here in the city. We have around £200,000 available to allocate across Leeds to grassroots organisations to deliver local projects which bring about impactful change in their communities and encourage people to become more engaged in the places they live, work and play.

If your organisation is interested in applying for funding, or if you’d like to learn more, then please contact [email protected] to obtain an application pack. The closing date for applications is Monday 11 August 2025 and we’re welcoming applications for between £10,000 - £20,000, with projects able to run up until mid-March 2026.

We look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your project ideas.

Temple Newsam Estate Overnight Closure 10/07/2025

The much-loved and frequently visited Temple Newsam Estate is proposing road closures and is currently gathering public feedback through a live consultation.
Over recent years, Temple Newsam estate has experienced a significant increase in unauthorised traveller encampments, anti-social driving, illegal vehicular anti-social behaviour meetings and other illegal activities, particularly during nighttime hours.
These activities have caused substantial damage to the park's grounds, Temple Newsam House, adjacent farm building and impacted the nearby community. In response to this issue, Leeds City Council are proposing to limit road access.
