Colourstart is licensed by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) and is the only clinically proven test for hair colour allergy (PPD) in the UK. The Colourstart test is like a transparent plaster and can be applied in the salon or at home, whichever you prefer. This is a one-off test, that need not be repeated, subject to a negative reaction recorded in the Colourstart Passport App. This is known as your “Passport’. Prior to every colour application you will be prompted to answer 7 questions in your Passport, which will take you about 30 seconds to complete. It identifies if anything has changed that could increase the chances of a reaction. The test applies to all brands and colours, meaning you can have any colour applied in the future, without the inconvenience of yet another test. We will now be using the Colourstart system in the salon and truly appreciate you joining us on this important policy change.
