I must have done this about 10 years ago, maybe this is the year to bring it back and scare my kid…..

That’s it, series 2 of 2 is done! Just recovering from the aftermath of the wrap party, and getting my head around the beautiful chaos that was Smoggie Queens 2.

I can’t begin to describe the love for this job, and the cast and crew who are family for a few months, working so hard we barely see our own. We look out for each other. That love you see between them on screen, is real behind the scenes.

As a department, it’s the dream job. Big wigs, small wigs, tattoos and tattoo cover ups, breaking down, glamming up, fake noses and fake hair, long nails, no nails, nails on gloves and nails accidentally popping off into bras. We have it all, and I couldn’t be more grateful for my team - Supervisor You make me feel safe, thank you! , and to our trainee (who actually is way more than capable of stepping up, please get in touch any designers looking, she’s amazing!!) and to the dailies we had along the way You’re only as good as your team, and I’m bloody proud!

Smoggie Queens was a dream job! I think all in, we had 22 wigs to make - anyone who knows wigs, especially drag, they take along time to create! From making the cages, setting, cutting and styling! Here’s how it started in prep, all beautiful, long straight wigs, to what you saw on screen.

These are just a few that were made (tagged are the people who made the wigs), so massive thank you to for the gorgeous wigs to work with, and my amazing team for bringing my designs to life!! Thanks and for trusting me with them all!!
