Thank you all so much for your kindness, love and support following the loss of our beautiful Cilla yesterday. 💔

I haven’t been able to read all of your messages yet because it’s still far too raw, but simply knowing that so many of you have taken the time to reach out has meant more than I can put into words.

Thank you for your compassion, your prayers, your messages and your understanding. They have brought comfort at one of the hardest times, and I truly appreciate every single one of you.

Cilla was deeply loved and will always hold a special place in our hearts. 🐾❤️

Completely heartbroken. 💔

Goodnight, Cilla. You were so deeply loved, and you will be forever missed.

This is the last thing I needed right now, but I know you’re no longer in pain. If I’m honest, the last few hours have been incredibly difficult, but letting you go was the final act of love we could give you.

Sleep peacefully, beautiful girl. 🌈🐾❤️

Does anyone else convince themselves every year that this is going to be the summer they eat outside more? 😂

Every time I picture a peaceful evening in the garden… then every time I try, it’s wasps, flies, wind, sweating and trying to rescue a napkin that’s halfway to the neighbour’s garden! 🇬🇧☀️

Welcome to the British Summer!

A smile on my face… it feels like the first genuine one this week. 😊

After everything that’s happened over the last few days, it felt really good to be back doing something I love.

This morning I had the privilege of leading worship at New Parks Methodist Church, sharing a message on “Choosing Well.”

It’s funny how God has a way of making a message speak to the preacher just as much as the congregation. This week has certainly reminded me that, although we can’t always choose our circumstances, we can choose how we respond to them.

Thank you to everyone at New Parks for such a warm welcome, and to everyone who has been praying for me and sending messages of support. They have meant more than you know.

Here’s to keeping that smile a little longer. ❤️

Well… it’s hospital visit number two for today! 🚗🏥

This evening I’m back at Leicester General Hospital for a CT scan, following this morning’s MRI at Glenfield.

It’s certainly been a full-on day… an MRI scan this morning, a much-needed haircut ✂️ (my hair was definitely a lot longer in this morning’s post! 😂), and now back to hospital again this evening.

These scans are all part of getting the answers we need, and I’m looking forward to having them behind me and, hopefully, receiving some positive news in the coming weeks.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s messaged, prayed, and checked in on me over the last few days. It really does make a difference.

Now to get this one ticked off… and hopefully be home in time to watch England kick off at 10pm! ⚽if I don’t nod off first 😂🤣

Another hospital appointment this morning – this time at Glenfield Hospital for two MRI scans of my pelvis/rectum and liver.

Although this is part of my routine follow-up since being in remission, it’s also been brought forward following my recent emergency sigmoidoscopy, where a growth was found and biopsies were taken.

If I’m honest, after the last week I’ve been feeling really low and a little uneasy. It’s amazing how quickly your mind can revisit places you thought you’d left behind. There’s always a degree of anxiety with these appointments – the waiting, the unknown, and then waiting again for results.

But one thing this journey has taught me is to take one day at a time, stay positive, and keep trusting God through every step, even when the path ahead isn’t completely clear.

I’m praying for good news, grateful for the incredible NHS staff who continue to look after me, and thankful for everyone who has been keeping me in their thoughts and prayers. Your support means more than you know.

One step at a time. 🙏❤️

Random request! 🙏

Does anyone have a working TV that they no longer need and would be willing to donate to Epworth Methodist Church?

We’re creating a digital notice board in our front window to share church news, upcoming events, and welcome our local community. The slides are all ready – we just need a TV monitor to bring it all to life!

If you have one that you’re no longer using, we’d be incredibly grateful. I’m happy to collect anywhere in Leicestershire.

Please feel free to share this post too – you never know who might have one tucked away in a spare room or garage.

Thank you so much for your support. ❤️

💙 Thank You… and See You Next Month! 💙

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who joined us for our second Encounter yesterday evening.

It has been incredibly encouraging to see people come together over these first two months to share an evening of uplifting music, thanksgiving, a message, and reflection. Seeing familiar faces return alongside those joining us for the first time has been such a blessing.

A huge thank you to everyone who played, sang, helped behind the scenes, welcomed people at the door, and simply came along to be part of the evening. Encounter wouldn’t be possible without you.

We’re already looking forward to our next Encounter!

📅 Sunday 2nd August

See you next month! ♥️🙏🏽

9.40am… and my mind is already racing through today’s to-do list! 😅

☀️ Sunday Morning Worship
📋 Epworth Annual General Meeting
🥗 Annual Bring & Share Lunch

Then it’s home for around an hour to recharge, a quick shower, and straight back in the car to be at Epworth for 5.00pm to set everything up for this evening’s Encounter at 6.00pm.

It might be a jam-packed day, but I genuinely wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m so excited to be leading worship at our second Encounter session and praying that everyone who comes along experiences God’s presence in a fresh and meaningful way.

Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and perhaps a few new ones too. ❤️🙏

Today has been another step on this journey.

Following my blood tests and sigmoidoscopy, a growth was found, and the consultant took four biopsies which have now been sent away to be tested.

As you can imagine, it’s been an emotional few days. The waiting begins again, and that’s often the hardest part. But one thing this journey has taught me is to take one day at a time, stay positive, and keep trusting God, even when the answers haven’t arrived yet.

Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for me, send messages, and support me. It genuinely means so much.

Now it’s time to wait, pray, and hope for the best. 🙏❤️
