My interpretation of the antagonists ‘play doh face’ and ‘straws for eyes’ from Stephen King’s ‘The Outsider’
Some progress make today on the bust, padded out with cotton wool and built on top of a skeleton armature. Made the shoulders and neck, still need to add more clay in areas and smooth the skin on the body out but it’s definitely taking shape now!

A S S E S S M E N T

Egyptian themed hair assessment on 2 models; I took inspiration from Isis and Osiris for the hair and makeup. The female hair is a pre-bought semi-synthetic wig cut and styled by myself and adorned with beads and cow horns. The male headdress is a recreation of Osiris’ Atef Crown adorned with curly ostrich feathers on either side; I hand knotted the beard using synthetic hair. Not super happy with the way everything turned out but it’s all part of the learning process!

an editorial eye look inspired by the Egyptian Goddess Hathor. Had to blur out my god-awful excuse for eyebrows as they’re in need of some TLC. Messy and somewhat abstract but I like it.

H A I R S T Y L I N G

Unfortunately I did not make this! Cutting a pre-bought wig to give it some shape, thin it out and add texture, also going to pluck the hairline to make it look more lifelike. Hopefully going to make a wig for my next assessment, but unsure of whether to make it vented or fully knotted, what do you think?
