My client also had some minor scar tissue on the bottom edge from a previous bad cold sore so we worked that this evening and evened all that colour up …

The first photo is where it all started when I started on my own in the beauty industry … spare room … winging it!

Nervous. Learning. Practising every chance I got.
Questioning whether I was good enough. Making mistakes, improving, and showing up anyway.

The lips - these were my first solo after my first attempt at training - my god - my poor client - the uneven colour - I was so over her border tattooing skin tissue - the lips were overworked - compared to the most recent set - reinvesting thousands more into training … constant latex work - a better knowledge of needles, inks, techniques…

And the tattoo 💀 were half way through laser .. my lovely model was a dream but I got her immediately back in once I offered laser to get it off!!!

Breaking it down a little more for those confused on how I determine the shape I’m tattooing …

You can see the clients lips before and then after the predraw 🙌🏼 .. the pre draw defines that border - distinguishes skin tissue from lip tissue … I’ve just everything the client has to just show off and highlight her natural shape and cupids bow.

I’ll always predraw to my eye - and then you get the mirror and we can make slight tweaks and adjustments if needed … then we begin 👏🏼

This is after I’ve set my draw with powder so it doesn’t move … which is why it’s not the neatest but I was keen to show this part of the treatment and the difference that defining can make 🥰

My client let me go rogue - she wanted bold and bright and a saturation heavier than a soft blush …

I went with 3 different eternal inks - that pack a punch … the colour of her lip tissue was quite uneven so I’ve made them more uniform and one even colour … swipe to the end to see the befores ….. ➡️

It’s just perfect - with her eyes 🥹 I mean stoop! Her complexion - just everything!

Most swelling will subside in a few hours … I cannot get enough!

The cutest little addition for my girlie … she picks some good ones 👌🏼

When you tell me what colour you want and I say you have to trust me!

There are SO many factors when it comes to colour theory with lip blush and what my work for one client that wants a ‘Nudey pink’ won’t work for another because we all have different undertones to our skin which play a HUGE part in how the pigment heals …

It always looks so much more bold in the bottles and in my pigment cup … but it’s never going to heal to that effect … this is a perfect example of the colour I was working with - which was a mixture of 4 pigments … and the finished result … look at those gorgeous soft pixels 🤤
