Maintaining weight for easy styling while creating internal texture to allow the edge to taper in for a perfect finish! This one was just incredible to see on her guest it suited her so much!

Leah has extended her hours at the salon filling her diary beautifully she’s now available Wednesday through to Saturday!

We all love a cheeky bit of volume, getting that lasting lift with a blow-dry be it in the salon or at home can be a challenge……

Steps to take to make sure you get the results time after time consist of 4 main elements

1. - Hair prep

Cleanse the hair with the correct shampoo and conditioning products, be it a purifying shampoo to clean and oils and sebum from the roots and scalp, if you have coloured hair use a colour saving range to not strip that stunning look created, making sure to finish with a cooler rinse to close the cuticle to lock in the shine and colour aiding the final styling process

2. - Styling Products

All great styles start with products used to give you the target result, build the foundation of the look, be that a smoothing product to polish the cuticle and reflect light with a flatter hair surface, body building products should be targeted at the root and applied in the amount for your hair density and texture, the thicker the hair the more product should be used, don’t be scared you’ll over load the hair! Distribute evenly working from one hand as a plate and the other as the applicator, this will prevent you over applying to the top section which we all do automatically, work the product through the roots from the hairline to the nap of the head

3. - Styling tools

If your heat styling your hair get the best from the results following the rule if you heat it protect it, the same if your dealing with a hot tray you protect your hands, do the same to your hair! Products and softer heat applied with prolong hair health and colour! For a more volumed look apply heat to the root stretching away from the scalp with tension on the brush, styling down the hair shaft from root to tip will get the best finish, the cuticle will stay down again giving that shine and smooth results! Cool the section with the cold shot or pin the hair up to allow it to cool, the style isn’t set until it’s no longer warm, don’t waste the volume you have just put in! Cool down that hair! 😉

4. - Finish the look

Be that brushing out the locks after being pinned to applying an oil based end product to seal any open cuticles, enjoy your results, rock it!!

Softening a copper that our guest had done at home, she felt a change was needed and coloured her hair in a whim, not liking the result Ruby was on hand to add some contrast, adding a highlight and some soft depth in foils has lifted her look perfectly! One very happy guest! 🤍
