One of the jobs completed in this lovely warm weather, that we were able to complete outside - under cover 😁🌞🌞🌞🌞

Typical problem we see regularly, body oil contamination which has destroyed the leather... it's absolutely pointless trying to repair this type of damage because it is extremely weak, and highly likely to deteriorate if you try to repair, best to replace with brand new fresh leather.

Another busy week, with motorcycle suits, furniture and more Honda NSX interior parts in for repair.

here's the NSX parts.. Our remit was to try and make them as good as we possibly can.

ok we can only try.. especially as a previous owner not only beat the hell out of the interior but also thought it would be a good idea to throw super glue all over the place thinking it would help stick torn and nicked leather back together 😬🥹 🤷‍♂️

you can see big globules of other glue substances they thought they'd try too, it had dried hard in a lovely dripping formation..

We never promise an invisible repair and perfection...
But,

We always strive for it tho .....

Here we have a nice Jag, unfortunately the seats have taken a heavy hammering..

Worn down to the epidermal layer and in parts through the whole skin... ☹️

It's now back together and if looked after will give a few more years of service before a retrim is needed.

A usual problem, Mercedes so called Artico leather (term leather here used very lightly).

as usual, started to split in several places across a number of panels....

Now the big issue here is, technically it can be repaired to a degree, however the splitting is caused by the plasticizers leaching out and once it starts even if it's repaired, it can easily start again either from or near the repair, because the vinyl is damaged and leaching. so as always in the case of Mercedes I advise if you want a long lasting solution giving a guaranteed long lasting service life, then panel replacement is key.... some will argue otherwise, but if it's new it's new....

Moving Woes.

A Happy and Exciting time, but manoeuvring furniture around tight corners and spaces can be very upsetting... especially when you find this... 😔afterwards..

We cannot promise perfection, But we always promise, to try to achieve it...

An end lounger from a corner suite, looking a little worse for wear..😟. when you get in from work and relax with your work gear on, it usually your leather especially if it's a pale colour won't like it..
