Overthinking and anxiety get lumped together but they're not the same thing.
Overtthinking is your mind trying to solve something it can't think its way out of. Here are 3 signs that's what's really going on for you:
1. You replay conversations long after they're over
2. You know logically things are "fine" but can't switch off the worry
3. You feel mentally exhausted but haven't done anything
If this is you, it's not a willpower problem. It's a nervous system pattern, and patterns can shift.

Feeling sure your reaction is “real” , until it dissolves hours later? New blog: Is That a Real Feeling — Or Is Something Else Driving? This explores how fleeting emotions, assumptions, and patterns shape what we think. Read the short, thoughtful piece and learn how to notice what’s really happening. https://wix.to/98OhGX1
Is That a Real Feeling — Or Is Something Else Driving? You're furious at your partner for loading the dishwasher wrong. Again.Or you're convinced your friend is subtly annoyed at you, based on approximately nothing. Or you've decided your career is a disaster, your body is wrong, and everything you've built is held together with good intentions and dry....

Small reminder:
You do not need to be falling apart before you’re “allowed” support.
Sometimes support looks like:
- 5 quiet minutes.
- A breath.
- A grounding exercise.
- A meditation that helps your brain stop behaving like an internet browser with 38 tabs open and mystery music playing from somewhere.
My Insight Timer tracks are there for exactly that.
Free.
Simple.
No pressure to become instantly zen.
Just support for real life.

Perfectionism is exhausting.
Not necessarily the shiny, colour-coded, alphabetised version.
Sometimes perfectionism looks like:
"I should be coping better."
"I’ll rest when everything’s done."
"I need to get it right."
"If I drop the ball, everything falls apart."
No pressure then.
Pattern work often uncovers the quiet rules we’ve been living by for years without realising.
The invisible contracts.
The impossible standards.
The exhausting belief that your worth is somehow linked to productivity.
Spoiler: your nervous system would like to file a complaint.
A Pattern Break Session helps explore what’s driving those loops… and what might happen if you didn’t have to carry them quite so hard.

A quick question.
When was the last time you properly relaxed?
Not scrolling while mildly stressed.
Not watching TV while mentally doing tomorrow’s to-do list.
Actually relaxed.
Modern life has convinced a lot of us that being permanently switched on is normal.
Until your body starts joining the conversation:
✔ tension
✔ poor sleep
✔ overwhelm
✔ feeling wired and tired at the same time
Reset sessions (reflexology, reiki or both) create space for your system to slow down a bit.
Nothing dramatic.
Just a chance for your body to stop acting like it’s responsible for keeping the world turning 😏

Quick nervous system check…
How are we all doing?
A) Calm, grounded, hydrated, emotionally regulated ✨
B) Functioning… but only because sarcasm remains available ☕
C) Accidentally volunteered for too much and now resenting my own decisions 🙃
D) Fine.
(Please note: “fine” has been medically recognised as a deeply unreliable answer.)
No fixing required.
Just curious 😏👇

Meditation expectation:
✨ peaceful
✨ serene
✨ floating gently through inner calm
Meditation reality:
"Must remember to buy toothpaste."
"Did I reply to that message?"
"What is hummus, really?"
If you’ve ever thought “I’m rubbish at meditation,” I’d like to respectfully challenge that.
You don’t need an empty mind.
You don’t need to levitate.
You just need somewhere to begin.
My Insight Timer tracks are there for real humans with busy brains, tired nervous systems and limited patience for perfection.
Free to listen.
No incense requirements.

Stop waiting for clarity, start moving. In my latest post I unpack why clarity is rarely a starting point and how action creates insight. Small steps, less overthinking, more forward momentum. Read more: https://wix.to/SMYdHdb
Stop Waiting for Clarity. It's Not Coming. (At least, not the way you think it is.)Here's the thing no one tells you when you're stuck, clarity is not a prerequisite for action. It's a result of it.I know. It feels completely backwards. We've been conditioned to believe that we need to have it all figured out before we take the first step, t...
