This is an inspirational series on how to easily create totally different lighting and looks in fashion, beauty and portrait photography with hardly any equipment. All you need is a camera (any camera!), one light source and a place to be (your flat is perfect!).

This series is to inspire you to never wait and always create with your photography, no more excuses of money, space, resources and time coming your way!

And you know what? If you keep creating more and more pictures without any excuses of lack of time, money and equipment you will also open the doors to getting more clients (if that is what you would like to do with your photography) and you will also start becoming more curious to try out new things of your own.

These past few weeks have been an intense creation period for both me and my business.

The Undefining Beauty class has been such an invitation for stepping up and creating in the world what I know is possible especially to go beyond judgement.

But first, let me give you a little context. I’ve been chatting with the founder of Access Consciousness Gary Douglas about this topic and what would be possible with it. Hi my dear friends!
I have a brand new class that I think could be a great contribution to everyone in front and behind a camera.
It’s called Undefining Beauty and it’s all about our perception of what beauty is.

We have been taught that beauty should look in a certain way and in fact everyone has a different definition of what it should look like.
And beauty is restricted by a lot of definitions that are all based on judgement, projections and expectations.

Already a few years ago I realised that when I look at someone or something with no judgement and no expectations all of a sudden beauty shows up, no matter who or what I look at and take pictures of.

But how do we stop functioning from judgmement as photographers? And how do we invite those in front of our camera to really show their true beauty and, most important, how do we create something greater in the world as photographers?

Our cameras can either be used to create something greater or to maintain all the judgement in place, and we often forget how much we influence so many people through our pictures as photographers.

Are you interested in creating greater and empowering those in front of your camera or do you prefer controlling them and deciding what is beautiful?

How much do you buy into the big fat lie of competition?
How is that working for you?
What if instead you chose to functuon from contribution, gratitude, co-creation, kindness and relaxation?

We at House of Belluso are both photographers and we contribute to each-other’s creations and to each-other beyond what thus reality should or should not be done in order to avoid competition, which in actual fact is competition and separation.

We are both grateful for what we are creating for ourselves and together and we both get excited about each-other’s creations, photographic and other.

We recently created also a new package for our Redefine Beauty Private Photo Sessions and what we see, apart from the above, is how ouf energies are so different from each-other that they contribute to each of these portrait sessions in different ways with the energy of curiosity and exploration, and that creates greater for our clients, for us and for our business.

So how much more of this can be created with all photographers and creatives in different ways, not only with the willingness but also with the excitement of outcreating each-other?

Advice on getting the perfect lighting setup by Andrea Belluso : "My advice to anyone is this: There is no perfect lighting as such. The “perfect” lighting is that which the photographer feels works best for the picture. And at the same time the “perfect” lighting should bring the photographer joy while shooting. If anything in the setup makes them feel anything less than excited, then they are not creating the light that works for them, and this will show in the results.
