* Men that are too comfortable and complacent within the family home, and do not want to contemplate moving out ever, in some ways become mentally behind. They lack in some ways due to being treated like boys and being coddled. They miss the point of having their own responsibility and family and could potentially just see the wife as an addition to their life to come home to at night.
* A LOT of women forget and don’t sympathise with how a man has to balance relationships, whether they live in or out of the family home. It becomes difficult as soon as conflict arises once honeymoon/wedding period has fizzled out. Good men, God-fearing men who genuinely want to make it work and care for their relationships and wife’s rights will do their best to achieve this in the situation that they are in.
* The in-laws/husband should not expect a woman to change completely - she is her own being and comes with so many experiences, qualities, skills, knowledge and own individualities that you cannot simply ignore and throw out. There must be compromise on both sides.
* As women, we must not be self-serving and all about ‘me, me, me’. Yes, Islam gives women MANY rights, but it also gives us the ability and responsibility to think carefully and judge accordingly.
• trust me when I say, men do not trust easily. If you start to sympathise and understand a man’s psychological creation and reasoning, you may begin to understand him a little better in ways that will allow you to make more concise and thorough decisions together.

In-laws: they should just know better at their big age. The total disregards for the woman and man's rights and responsibility to each other as a couple, as well as the added pressure with all the unnecessary demands, expectations and limitations that they put onto the couple in how they should conduct themselves within their own marriage, home and go about making plans is beyond intrusive and irresponsible.
