WILL I BRUISE? 💉

One of the most common questions I get asked before injectable treatments.

And trust me, if I had X-ray vision, I’d use it! 🩻

Beneath the skin lies a complex network of blood vessels that we simply can’t see from the surface. While a detailed knowledge of facial anatomy allows practitioners to identify higher-risk areas & use the safest techniques possible, bruising can still occasionally occur.

Understanding facial anatomy isn’t just about achieving great results. It’s a crucial part of providing safe, precise treatments and minimising risks wherever possible.

The good news is most bruising is mild, temporary, & resolves on its own.

MENTAL HEALTH TOUCHES EVERYTHING 🧠

The way we sleep, cope, connect, care for others & the way we care for ourselves.

As a midwife, a mum & someone working in an industry centred around confidence and wellbeing, I see every day how easy it is for women (& men) to pour from an already empty cup.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, let this be your reminder that caring for yourself isn’t selfish, it’s part of protecting your mental health.

Sometimes self care looks like a facial appointment, a long shower, a quiet coffee, a walk in silence, cancelling plans, eating properly, or simply allowing yourself to rest without guilt.

Glowing skin is wonderful, but feeling supported, rested, heard and emotionally safe? That’s the real foundation.

WHAT’S ON MY PLATE? 🍽️

I’m all for the wine, date nights & the occasional snack plate that turns into dinner, but healthy, glowing skin is about more than just skincare.

What we feed our bodies can have a huge impact on inflammation, hydration & skin clarity.

Lately, I’ve been focusing on foods that nourish the skin from within:

🍣 Salmon for omega-3s to support skin elasticity and help reduce inflammation.

🥦 Greens & cucumber for hydration & antioxidant support.

🥑 Avocado for healthy fats that help maintain a strong, glowing skin barrier.

It’s all about balance, consistency & supporting your skin both internally & externally.
