👉 Wear a similar colour & neckline to your wedding day outfit to help to give you a clear idea of how everything will look.
👉 Bring inspiration images but try & narrow them down to 3 for hair & 3 for makeup. This’ll help you & your artist to bring your ideas together more easily.
👉 Also a photo of yourself where you like how your hair & makeup looks. This helps us to get an idea of your personal style.
👉If you can it’s useful to bring hair accessories, jewellery & your veil to try if you’re planning on wearing one.

Throughout the makeup & hair process I like to show you how we’re progressing as in my experience it can be quite daunting to do a ‘big reveal’ & I like to know that you’re comfortable & happy throughout! I always take photos & videos to make sure everything passes the camera test & so that you can see from every angle. 😊

Putting you thoughts into words for your hair stylist can be quite daunting & I completely get get that. You’re not a professional so you can’t be expected to know all the right terms to use when describing a style!

Here’s an example of rough & undone texture compared to smooth & clean.

Quite often bride’s & bridesmaids will say to me ‘I don’t mind’ or ‘whatever you think looks best’ which is great at times but some decisions are very much down to your own personal style. These are both beautiful looks with completely different finishes & ultimately it comes down to your taste & the one that feels most like you. 🙌

Thought I’d do a little intro post for anyone who’s started following me recently. Also if you’re thinking of booking me as your hair & makeup artist for your wedding day, I’ll be spending a fair amount of time getting up in your space so it’s only fair you know a bit about me! 😆

📍I’m 33 & live in Forest Hill, SE London

✨ I’ve worked as a H & MU artist for 12 years & moved around in different areas such as film & theatre until I discovered my passion which is weddings & bridal. At one point I was even body painting for shop mannequins which was a pretty unique & solitary experience!

😺 I have a very friendly tabby cat named Pearl who has a lot more dog characteristics than cat

Before your trial I’ll send you a ‘preparing for your trial’ info doc with everything you need to know & some tips for making sure you’re prepared & we both get the most out of our time together.
I’ll also ask you to fill out a short questionnaire so that I have all of the info I need to help me prepare & save us from cutting into our styling time too much.
