I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being part of this transformation for a lovely long term client of mine. She has had an arm lift also known as a brachioplasty.

Not all swelling is created equal, especially if you have had a parasite 🦠
The lymphatic system is part of your immune system, so when something is off, your body will tell you!
In rare cases, things like parasites can actually affect the lymphatic vessels themselves, blocking flow and causing long-term issues. My client had returned from her holiday with cramping and it turns out she had a parasite.
MLD for my client today now the parasite has gone.

Seromas are a common part of healing after more extensive liposuction 💦
A seroma is simply a build-up of fluid that can sit under the skin as your body recovers. It’s not your body doing anything wrong, it’s part of the healing process, especially when larger areas have been treated.
With the right care, they can be managed effectively without the need to shove needles into people repeatedly each session which cause more trauma and inflammation.
Manual lymphatic drainage, compression, correct aftercare and having a conversation with your clients surgeon all play a big role in aiding the healing of one.
Having communication with the surgeon was the key point of this. We spoke and I explained my plan, client was send back and surgeon liaised me - communication is something we do everyday it’s not difficult and go rid of the Seroma for our client! 🤝
The key is early management, the sooner it’s addressed, the easier it is to resolve.
