These are just a few reflections from my first test run.
What people don’t expect… is how immersive it becomes.�Time slows down, creativity takes over, and you leave with something that’s entirely your own.

The final part of my wonderful trip - the amazing Atacama Desert, with its vast salt flats, volcanic lagoons, rocky moonscapes and dunes, plus a short stay in Santiago - now it’s time to say goodbye. I know I am so privileged to have been able to take the time and visit such amazing places, as well as share it all with my darling husband, but I am looking forward to being back with those I love. This is the last of my travel posts now; I will now spend the 13 hour plane journey recalling the scent memories I have made and thinking about a personalised Elix for myself! A few snippets from Part 4 of our wonderful adventure, now in Torres Del Paine National park in Chile Patagonia. The pain in my knees from hiking, are soon forgotten, but memories of the awe-inspiring views and purest air will always remain; and with it scent memories of horses, dry air and Mate ground herbal caffeinated drink.

Part 4 of my adventure - across the border to the spectacular reserve of Torres Del Paine in Chile. My memories will be purity of the and glacial water, my sore knees after 25km of hiking, the giant Condor, the scent of horses in the dry air and of course the awe inspiring views - what a sight to wake up to!

I started Elix Personal Alchemy because I wanted anyone to have the opportunity to feel like a Perfumer. Becoming a true expert takes years of training (and I am definitely still learning myself), but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to have a go. After all, most of us happily try a new recipe without being a professional chef.

National Fragrance Week begins on 16th March, celebrating the unique power and beauty of scent. To mark the occasion, I’m hosting three live virtual Personal Alchemy perfume workshops, open to anyone in the UK (with apologies to overseas friends - I won’t be able to ship your workshop box in time).

This online experience mirrors my five-star in-person workshops as closely as possible. You’ll receive the full range of my artisan blending accords - in miniature, so you can experiment freely without worrying about waste. During our two-hour live session, you’ll create your own personalised fragrance. Perfume blending is different from layering; it’s the mindful creativity that gives it the edge - plus if you fall in love with your creation, and record the proportions, I can recreate it for you as a full-size bespoke bottle.

This is a special National Fragrance Week edition, offered at a celebratory price. Tickets are limited for each evening, and your workshop box — containing everything you need — will arrive a few days in advance.
