🌟Day 2 - IHP recert 🌟… Been a wee while since I taught & lucky for me & came back to London for a training.
Time to refresh & recharge my knowledge and get back to teaching!!!!!

Have you tried one of our new Inferno Hot Pilates class?
This is a High Intensity, Low Impact Interval Training class, based on pilates principles. It is done in a heated room to get the heart rate racing and accompanied with motivational music to keep your the good energy flowing!

IHP is amazing for building muscle, and aiding weight loss when combined with a healthy diet (weight loss is 70% diet, 30% exercise). It is also a wonderful compliment to your yoga practise, as it helps you target and activate muscle groups.

So we are giving all BYC members ONE FREE IHP Class, no catch.

Come to one of our IHP classes between now and 31st March and get it for freeeeee. If you have an unlimited membership, bring a friend and they can practise one class for free.
IHP Class Times:
Monday 8:30am
Thursday 4:30pm
Sunday 11am
T&C's:
One and only one free Inferno Hot Pilates per customer. Each customer is entitles to only one no exceptions. If you have an unlimited membership you can bring one guest to practise once free of charge to any Inferno Hot Pilates class but you must practise with your guest.

This mornings awesome class with Liz & everyone’s fav - the ( to be precise we are doing wide legged half burpees), however in we take out the jump at the top, so it’s kind on the joints, but the heat is on so your heart rate is still elevated. Step back, jump back, just keep moving!!!! (Im the one in the front row, white t-shirt).
Tomorrow morning 8:30am come get your burpee on with me. Never done a burpee, they say try something new everyday, so that can be your new thing for tomorrow and I will be there to help.
As you can see is suitable for all abilities, all sizes, all shapes .

1 of my fav works of art by I believe it, we are all pure magic. I also believe we all need to be told it!
I’ve have never watched Love Island etc but I don’t think you can’t be in the UK & not be aware of Caroline Flack tragedy. The posting of the ‘be kind’ quote has been a beautiful tribute. Hopefully it has opened the eyes of those who need to read & understand it. Trolls are probably the people most in need of some kindness. Its very complex, but bullying it’s not born from happiness. Its mostly derived from things like fear, fear of the unknown, fear or something inside ourselves, a lack of self compassion, sometimes to fill an inner avoid, or to distract from feelings of helplessness, powerlessness, jealousy, inadequacy & shame. Sometimes it’s the people that act the worst, say they worst things that need the most love & kindness.
In addition to effect real change in the light of this tragedy we have to stop feeding the media. Gossip sites/publications are only feeding societies demands. If we didn’t read it, they wouldn’t write it. If we all stop today their revenue will go down, they will stop what they are doing & look for a new way to attract our attention. I am sad to say that I am drawn in by the daily mail side bar of gossip all to often, but NO MORE! We can make a difference, just don’t read it, any of it.
The murder of Kitty Genovese in NYC in the 60’s is I’m infamous because there where 38 witness but no one called the police/came to her aid. Let’s never be the people who walk by assuming someone else will help. From every tragedy i am always heartened by the reaction of the public. People care, we want to help. In general we want to love not hate. If someone isn’t acting like themselves, goes quite, isn’t responding as they usually would, posts something out of character, even if they are not a close friend, why not reach out! As a reaction to the news about Caroline one of my friends messaged all of her friends, just in case, how beautiful a reaction is that!
It seems like Caroline Flack had a loving, support network, but that the depression/hopelessness was simply to much. What a waste! So let’s affect some change today # # #

I LOVE coffee!!!! Over the years it’s gone through many an up & down in the health stakes, but my love has staid strong. But while my love is true, is coffees?

Is coffee good for me?
The answere is.... YES (phew). In moderation (oh dear). Moderation means 400 milligrams of caffeine (that’s basically 2 espresso shots & roughly 4 8oz cups of filter coffee).
The type of coffee, the bean used etc can effect the positive benefits - for example research has shown stronger health benefits come with filter/espresso and where weaker with instant.

Don’t be put off by the fact is a HIIT class, or that it is done in the heat. IHP is all inclusive and specifically designed so that practically everyone can join in and get results! It might be high intensity but it’s low impact so it is kind on joints. Come join me tomorrow 4:30pm and see what it is all about!
