Has there come to you the news of the overwhelming?

Al-Quran الغاشـيـة88 Al-Ghashiyah The Overwhelming
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
١ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ
1 Has there come to you the news of the overwhelming?
٢ وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ
2 Faces on that Day will be shamed.
٣ عَامِلَةٌ نَاصِبَةٌ
3 Laboring and exhausted.
٤ تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً
4 Roasting in a scorching Fire.
٥ تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ آنِيَةٍ
5 Given to drink from a flaming spring.
٦ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِيعٍ
6 They will have no food except thorns.
٧ لَا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنْ جُوعٍ
7 That neither nourishes, nor satisfies hunger.
٨ وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ
8 Faces on that Day will be joyful.
٩ لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ
9 Satisfied with their endeavor.
١٠ فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ
10 In a lofty Garden.
١١ لَا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَاغِيَةً
11 In it you will hear no nonsense.
١٢ فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ
12 In it is a flowing spring.
١٣ فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ
13 In it are raised beds.
١٤ وَأَكْوَابٌ مَوْضُوعَةٌ
14 And cups set in place.
١٥ وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ
15 And cushions set in rows.
١٦ وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ
16 And carpets spread around.
١٧ أَفَلَا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى الْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ
17 Do they not look at the camels—how they are created?
١٨ وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ
18 And at the sky—how it is raised?
١٩ وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ
19 And at the mountains—how they are installed?
٢٠ وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ
20 And at the earth—how it is spread out?
٢١ فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ
21 So remind. You are only a reminder.
٢٢ لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُصَيْطِرٍ
22 You have no control over them.
٢٣ إِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ
23 But whoever turns away and disbelieves.
٢٤ فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الْأَكْبَرَ
24 Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.
٢٥ إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ
25 To Us is their return.
٢٦ ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ
26 Then upon Us rests their reckoning.

Al-Quran البروج 85 Al-Buruj The Constellations

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
١ وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ
1 By the sky with the constellations.
٢ وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ
2 And by the Promised Day.
٣ وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ
3 And by the witness and the witnessed.
٤ قُتِلَ أَصْحَابُ الْأُخْدُودِ
4 Destroyed were the People of the Trench.
٥ النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِ
5 The fire supplied with fuel.
٦ إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ
6 While they sat around it.
٧ وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ
7 And were witnessing what they did to the believers.
٨ وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ
8 They begrudged them only because they believed in Allah the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.
٩ الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
9 To Whom belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. Allah is witness over everything.
١٠ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيقِ
10 Those who tempt the believers, men and women, then do not repent; for them is the punishment of Hell; for them is the punishment of Burning.
١١ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيرُ
11 Those who believe and do righteous deeds will have Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph.
١٢ إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ
12 The onslaught of your Lord is severe.
١٣ إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ
13 It is He who begins and repeats.
١٤ وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ
14 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving.
١٥ ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ
15 Possessor of the Glorious Throne.
١٦ فَعَّالٌ لِمَا يُرِيدُ
16 Doer of whatever He wills.
١٧ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْجُنُودِ
17 Has there come to you the story of the legions?
١٨ فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ
18 Of Pharaoh and Thamood?
١٩ بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيبٍ
19 In fact, those who disbelieve are in denial.
٢٠ وَاللَّهُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ مُحِيطٌ
20 And Allah encloses them from beyond.
٢١ بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَجِيدٌ
21 In fact, it is a Glorious Quran.
٢٢ فِي لَوْحٍ مَحْفُوظٍ
22 In a Preserved Tablet.

Al-Quran الـشـمـس91 Ash-Shams The Sun

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
١ وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا
1 By the sun and its radiance.
٢ وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَاهَا
2 And the moon as it follows it.
٣ وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّاهَا
3 And the day as it reveals it.
٤ وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَاهَا
4 And the night as it conceals it.
٥ وَالسَّمَاءِ وَمَا بَنَاهَا
5 And the sky and He who built it.
٦ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَاهَا
6 And the earth and He who spread it.
٧ وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا
7 And the soul and He who proportioned it.
٨ فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا
8 And inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness.
٩ قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا
9 Successful is he who purifies it.
١٠ وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسَّاهَا
10 Failing is he who corrupts it.
١١ كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا
11 Thamood denied in its pride.
١٢ إِذِ انْبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا
12 When it followed its most wicked.
١٣ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا
13 The messenger of Allah said to them, "This is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink."
١٤ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا
14 But they called him a liar, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin, and leveled it.
١٥ وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَاهَا
15 And He does not fear its sequel.
