Let me take you through one of my client's healing journey. This will give you a visual understanding of what happens during the healing process as well as how colour fades.

After undergoing PMU (Permanent Makeup) lip blush, here are some expectations regarding the lip color:

1. Initial Darker Color: Immediately after the procedure, your lips may appear darker and more intense in color than the desired outcome. This is because the pigments are still fresh and will take some time to settle.

2. Swelling and Redness: It is normal to experience some swelling and redness in the treated area for the first few days. This is a natural response to the procedure and should subside gradually.

3. Peeling and Healing: In the following days, the pigmented area may start to peel as it goes through the healing process. This is a normal part of the skin's natural exfoliation process and is essential for the final color to reveal itself.

4. Lightening and Softening: Over the next few weeks, the initial intense color of the lip blush will gradually lighten and soften. This is because the top layer of the epidermis, which contains some of the pigment, will slough off during the healing process.

5. Final Color and Shape: After the healing process is complete, usually within 4-6 weeks, the true color and shape of the lip blush will be apparent. This is the time when you can evaluate if any touch-ups or adjustments are needed.

6. Longevity: The longevity of PMU lip blush can vary depending on various factors such as your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. On average, the color may last anywhere from 1-3 years before requiring a touch-up session to maintain its vibrancy.

Remember that everyone's healing process can be slightly different, and individual results may vary. It's essential to follow your aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing and color retention.
