Organic cosmetics: truth or fiction?
Women have an ambiguous attitude to organic cosmetics. Some believe that this is a tribute to fashion. The latter call it a panacea for most problems. And still others do not even think about what to use.
In all ages, girls, taking care of themselves, used natural ingredients: they put cucumbers on their eyes, rinsed their hair with nettle tincture and wiped their skin with ice. But is today's organic cosmetics so useful?
Each brand, describing the product, tries to mention the pros – it is customary to keep silent about the cons. Dermatologists are sure that not everything they say about organics is true.
Some facts are complete fiction.
Organic cosmetics are not necessarily safe, useful and effective. Plants that are used in the production of organic cosmetics are processed and grown under certain conditions. But this fact does not mean that any organic product is useful and necessarily effective.
Organic cosmetics can cause allergies. Some herbal ingredients can clog pores, increase sensitivity and irritate the skin. Potential allergens include lavender, mint, rose, rosemary, essential oils, sandalwood, lemongrass, eucalyptus, citrus and oak bark. This does not mean that such components will necessarily cause allergies, but this option is not excluded.
The production of organic cosmetics does not affect animals. The only animal ingredients that are present in organic matter are lactic acid and bee products. Neither bees nor cows suffer losses. Collagen and glycerin are also extracted from wheat proteins and vegetable oils. Neither finished products nor individual components are tested on animals.
Organic cosmetics brands think not only about profit, but also about ecology. Most of the products are presented in organic containers. Such bottles can be recycled or disposed of, unlike plastic, which is abused even by brands with a worldwide reputation and impeccable reputation.
There are no pesticides in organic cosmetics. All its components are natural cosmetics grown without GMOs, radiation and chemical fertilizers. Moreover, the soil is not treated with all these poisons long before cultivation begins. There are also no factories and plants nearby that will emit unnecessary waste into the environment. Therefore, the health safety of the harvesters and the cleanliness of the environment and raw materials are guaranteed.
The consumer properties of traditional and organic cosmetics are not particularly different. This proves the diversity of the color palette, trends, high pigmentation and long-lasting durability of the latter.
