Continually learning, so we can provide the very best care.

At Battersea Park Clinic, we believe that exceptional patient care starts with knowledge. That’s why we’re committed to continually expanding our understanding of nutrition, supplementation and the latest evidence in integrative health.

Recently, our team attended an educational day with Viridian Nutrition, one of the trusted supplement brands we proudly stock in our clinic.

It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the science behind their formulations, their commitment to using clean, high-quality ingredients, and the values that have made them one of the UK’s most respected family-run, ethical supplement companies.

Taking the time to understand the brands we recommend means we can confidently offer products that align with our commitment to quality, integrity and personalised patient care.

A huge thank you to the team at Viridian for such an informative and inspiring day.

And a special mention to for the delicious plant-based lunch and treats throughout the day. The food was absolutely fantastic and the perfect accompaniment to a day of learning. 🌱💚

At Battersea Park Clinic, we’re always learning, because the better informed we are, the better we can support your health.

🌿 Evidence-led. Patient-focused. Always learning.

Postbiotics are the future of gut health. They can achieve what no probiotic can do. Why waste money taking a supplement that is more marketing hype than an actual benefit proven by 2 human randomised placebo controlled trials.

Tired of hot flushes? Is menopause getting you down? Here’s an answer to your symptoms.

Daidzein, one of the main isoflavones in soy, is biologically fairly weak. Its estrogenic activity comes almost entirely from what certain gut bacteria convert it into: S-equol. The catch is that only around half of Asian populations, and as few as one in five people in Western populations, actually carry the right bacterial strains to make that conversion happen.

In other words: two women eat the same soy-rich diet, take the same isoflavone supplement, and one gets a meaningful hormonal effect while the other gets almost nothing - purely as a function of their microbiome. This “equol producer” phenomenon has been documented for decades, yet most soy-based women’s health products are formulated as though every consumer has the bacteria to make use of them. Most don’t.

Here’s where to get S-equol: https://thepostbioticcompany.co.uk/products/womens-wellness

Liz has been working with us for two months and is using both traditional methods and holistic approaches to her treatment. The biggest difference this time round?

She has been wearing an ACCT Med device 24/7 for 6 weeks. This device sends out a tiny alternating current at an incredibly low voltage throughout her body. It is the very latest treatment from the US for clients like Liz and the testimonials are rolling in.

The kit costs £3,150 and we are the sole UK distributor for this product. It’s discrete, it comes with a portable battery, bed linen or chair seat cover and it really works.

Standard of Care. Give chemotherapy and people die - that’s OK. Give them something else and you risk your job, even if they survive and thrive.

This is life outside of Standard of Care.

I have been writing articles about the gut microbiome for the last couple of months and in this research, I have learned a lot.

I wanted to share with others the food and supplement scams, the lies, the dangers of certain products to our health, the benefits of postbiotics and how we can protect ourselves against cancer, poor gut health, what small changes we can make to improve our lives.

I have dug into interesting relationships between Akkermansia and F. Praunitzii gut bacteria and our gut lining. How immunotherapy fails when Akkermansia is missing. How leaky gut syndrome starts due to antibiotics killing off these important bacteria.

Did you know that phthalates in our aftershave or perfume are endocrine disruptors and can cause cancer? That antibiotics can destroy our gut microbiome? That most probiotics don’t work?

By learning more about the bacteria in our gut, we can lead a more informed and healthier life.

Your Gut Bacteria Are Being Farmed — and You’re the Livestock 22/04/2026

You paid £300 to send your stool through the post. You answered 200 questions about your sleep, your stress, your relationships, your medications. You wore a blood sugar sensor for two weeks. You handed over the most intimate biological data a human being can produce. Now ask yourself: what exactly did they do with it?

The Probiotic Industry’s Dirty Secret: Who’s Actually Healing You, and Who’s Just Getting Rich 20/04/2026

https://open.substack.com/pub/amanofkent/p/the-probiotic-industrys-dirty-secret?

Let’s Be Clear About What a Probiotic Actually Is:

The official definition — established by the WHO and FAO in 2001 — is deceptively simple: live microorganisms that, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host.

Three words in that definition carry enormous weight: live, adequate amounts, and health benefit.

A product that doesn’t deliver live organisms in sufficient numbers to the gut hasn’t met the definition. A product that delivers live organisms but cannot demonstrate a measurable health benefit in the target population hasn’t met it either.

By these standards, the majority of products sold as probiotics in UK supermarkets and pharmacies fail on at least one count — and often on all three.

Everybody is talking about postbiotics and gut health. Even Dr Mercola has waded in but he’s only half right and here is a response to him:
