Sisterhood; The Unforgettable Bond: By Victoria Kamara
It is the story of two sisters who lived in a small village in the PortLoko District of a great mountain range. The elder sister, Salley, was known throughout the town for her incredible artistic talents. She could paint, sculpt, and draw like no one else in the village, and her works were sought after by people. Her younger sister, named Aisha, was equally talented, but in a different way. She was a gifted storyteller, able to weave tales that captivated the hearts and minds of all who listened.

Despite their differences, Salley and Aisha were very close. They grew up sharing everything, and when Maya was recognised for her talents, Aisha was her biggest supporter. She cheered her on during art competitions, helped her gather supplies, and even modelled for her when she needed a subject. Salley, in turn, was always there for Aisha when she needed encouragement or inspiration. She admired her sister's ability to unite people through her stories and often incorporated elements of Aisha's tales into her artwork.

One day, tragedy struck the village. A fire broke out, and many homes were destroyed. Among them was the sisters' family home. Salley and Aisha were devastated. All their belongings and their parents' treasured possessions were gone. Salley stumbled across a charred piece of wood as they wandered through the rubble, trying to salvage anything they could. It was a beautiful, intricately carved box that had belonged to their mother. Salley was heartbroken that it was ruined, but Aisha saw something else. She saw the potential for a new story.

As they worked to rebuild their home, Aisha began to weave a tale about a box that had been destroyed but then brought back to life. She used Maya's artistic skills to help illustrate the story, creating images of a phoenix rising from the ashes of the burned box. Aisha’s tale inspired Salley, and together they created a beautiful new box using the charred remains of the old one. They collaborated to carve and paint intricate designs on the new box, each contributing their unique talents.

When they were finished, the box was more beautiful than ever before. It symbolised the sisters' resilience and strength in the face of adversity and their unwavering support and love for each other. Salley and Aisha continued to inspire each other, sharing their talents and stories with the world and spreading compassion and inspiration wherever they went. They knew they could overcome any challenge together and that their bond as sisters would only grow stronger with time.
