Weaning Journey new food: Cucumber 🥒

Here’s your reminder that taking a break is mandatory! I got to Week 3 Day 1 in January of - and then 💥 Life.

A month later I decided to go again and pick up where I left off- and surprised myself. I expected to fail, instead I felt stronger and more energetic, and can continue this running journey.

Learning that progress isn’t about racing the clock — it’s about showing up, keeping the effort honest, and getting a little stronger each week.

Slow miles still count. Especially the ones no one sees.

A is for Apples 🍎

Today’s preschool prep was all about exploring apples with little hands and big curiosity. We inspected cut apples, planted the seeds, looked at the apple tree, stamped, painted, and discovered how apples make the most beautiful shapes. From sensory play to creativity, every messy moment helps build fine motor skills, confidence, and a love of learning.

Simple activities. Meaningful learning. Sweet memories ❤️

Day 9 of the January polish challenge ✨

Healthy habits don’t need discipline — they need kindness.
Tonight, choose just one small habit that supports calm.

One cup of tea.
One page read.
One deep stretch.

Consistency grows from care, not pressure 🤍

Tried the Philip Kingsley Moisture Balancing Shampoo and Conditioner 🫧

It definitely cleans well — scalp feels fresh and hair feels properly washed — but for my hair type (very thick, long, and a LOT of it), the conditioner is not quite moisturizing enough on its own. I found I really need a good conditioner afterwards to bring the softness back.

Scent-wise, it has a slightly medicinal / clinical smell, which isn’t unpleasant but also not a cosy, luxe hair-wash experience for me.

Ingredient-wise, it’s worth noting:
• It contains sulfate-based cleansers (like SLES), which help it clean well but can feel a bit drying on thicker or drier hair
• Fragrance is present (likely contributing to that medicinal scent)
• No obvious heavy silicones, but also not deeply nourishing

Overall, a solid shampoo and conditioner if you want a clean scalp and lighter feel, but if your hair craves moisture or richness, this might feel a bit underwhelming — especially on lengths.

Best for: normal to combination hair or those prioritising scalp cleanliness over hydration.

Day 8 of the January polish challenge ✨

Today is about planning with kindness.

Not filling every hour. Not setting impossible standards.

Choose just a few priorities. Leave space to breathe.
Let your plans support you — not pressure you.

Gentle structure creates sustainable calm 🤍

This little Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream is just so cute — the packaging alone makes it feel like a tiny treat 🫧💙

The texture is rich but not heavy, melts in beautifully, and leaves skin feeling properly hydrated without that greasy or overly occlusive feel. It’s one of those creams that works really nicely both morning and night when your skin just wants comfort, not drama.

There’s a gentle, clean fragrance to it — nothing overpowering — but worth noting that added perfume is the only real “baddie” ingredient here, so if you’re strictly fragrance-free it might not be your one. Otherwise, it feels well-formulated, calming, and very easy to wear.

A solid, no-fuss hydrator that fits perfectly into a balanced skin routine ✨

Day 7 of the January polish challenge ✨

Today is about closing the first 7 days gently.
No improvement, no effort — just care.

Choose one calming ritual tonight and let it be enough.
Rest is not a reward for productivity; it’s part of polish 🤍

A softer end creates a steadier beginning.

Day 6 of the January polish challenge ✨

Today is about creating calm before you even realise you need it.

Five quiet minutes to tidy the spaces where your day begins and ends can change how everything else feels.

A clear surface.
A softer mind.
