🇬🇧 Why does filler migrate?

One of the most common reasons is too much filler.

Every lip has its own anatomical limit. When the tissue can no longer accommodate more volume, filler starts looking for free space and may move beyond the natural border of the lip.

This is where the injector’s responsibility is not just to “add more”, but to honestly explain to the patient: further augmentation may not create more beautiful lips — it may lead to filler migration and loss of shape.

Another important reason is placing filler where it should not be placed.

For example, into the white roll — the pale border above the lip.
This is not an area for filler.

When product is placed there, the lip contour may become blurred, the lips can lose definition, and unwanted volume may appear above the lip.

Beautiful lips are not only about volume.
They are about anatomy, technique, and knowing when to stop.

А якщо серйозно, то такі випадки дійсно можуть траплятися, але це не є нормою. Якщо в круговий м’яз рота ввести надто велику дозу ботулотоксину або неправильно визначити точки ін’єкції, можуть виникнути небажані ефекти: порушення дикції, підтікання слини, труднощі під час пиття чи вживання рідкої їжі.

Незначний дискомфорт у перші дні після процедури можливий. Але якщо у пацієнта тече слина або помітно порушується мова — це вже ознака надмірного ослаблення м’яза, а не нормальна реакція на ботулотоксин.
