Let’s talk ✨lash placement✨

As you can see here, the natural lash is ever so slightly wonky; the base is straight, but the tip bends to the right. In a doll-eye style, even one lash sitting out of place would’ve been obvious 👀

Instead, I redirected the extension and made sure the connection point was secured through the base, holding it in place with my tweezer during attachment ✨

Yes, a bigger connection point is ideal, but solid placement is what truly matters. As long as the attachment is secure and balanced, you won’t have retention issues.

Lash styling is about intention — not just sticking extensions onto natural lashes. Every placement affects the final shape, symmetry, and finish of the set 💫

One of the biggest misconceptions in lash artistry is that you always have to follow the direction of the natural lash.
In reality, if the natural direction interferes with the final styling, adjustments may be needed to create balance, symmetry, and the desired mapping.

Technique + placement = the difference between lashes applied… and lashes styled 💫
