For those of you struggling with respiratory issues, here’s some of the top oils you can try to help support your body & respiratory system! They can be diffused, applied topically diluted over chest, or bottoms of feet and on back where lungs are. Also can be inhaled from palms or used in a steam cup.

It is very easy to dilute essential oils with vegetable oil or completely replace it with a synthetic one! Just because the cap is sealed doesn't mean it's the original oil! Every now and then I hear stories about someone buying cheaper dōTERRA oil (from Ebay or Amazon) and is surprised that it doesn't work or irritated the skin!

By buying only directly from dōTERRA you can be sure that the oil will be 100% original, safe and will work as it should!

If you don't have an account with dōTERRA, find a consultant who will help you set up an account or order oils because you want to be sure that what you and your family are using is safe!

Lavender has to be one of those oils I always have to hand. It smells amazing (of course!) but it's also just so handy!. Here are some of my favourite uses:

⚡️ Freshening my clothes - A drop popped on a cotton wool ball and placed in my cupboard or draws
⚡️ Soothing stings - Just apply to the sting to reduce itching and pain
⚡️ Baking - Add to banana bread, biscuits, cakes and more....you will be surprised how tasty this is
⚡️ Helping sleep - Drops on your pillow are incredibly restful
⚡️ Toilet Freshener - Add drops to the inside of your toilet roll to freshen the room

Very surprising how much growth is on these- especially the Lysol dish!

This was a 5th year students science project!! 4 petri dishes filled with bacteria from a chicken coop. Each of the following contain a swipe of:

A. doTERRA OnGuard (protective blend)

B. Clorox - bleach

C. Control plate (just bacteria)

D. Lysol - disinfectant

a small 60 ml glass spray bottle
1 tbsp aloe vera gel
20 drops On Guard essential oil blend
Water
(if using smaller spray bottle, adjust amounts accordingly)

Just mix them together and shake, and there you have an effective, and 'kind to the skin' blend.

Essential Oil Skin Patch Testing

If you have sensitive skin or you are not sure how you could react to particular oil, or if you use oils on children, always do a skin test before using new oil.

Mix 2-5 of drops of essential oil that you wish to use in a teaspoon of carrier oil (sweet almond, fractionated coconut). Rub a small amount of the blend on the inside of your forearm and leave on over night or up to 48 hours.

If no irritation occurs after 48 hours, the essential oils should be safe for you to begin using diluted on your skin.

If you notice any irritation, wash it off with a carrier oil, never with water.

The most common cause of irritation includes:

- Insufficiently diluted essential oil on the skin.

- Undiluted or poorly dissolved essential oil in the bath.

Testowanie olejków eterycznych przed użyciem.

Jeśli masz wrażliwą skórę lub nie masz pewności, jak możesz zareagować na dany olejek lub jeśli stosujesz je u dzieci, zawsze przed użyciem nowego, wykonaj test na skórze.

Wymieszaj 2-5 kropli olejku eterycznego, którego chcesz użyć, w łyżeczce olejku nośnego (słodkich migdałów, frakcjonowanego kokosa). Nałóż niewielką ilość mieszanki po wewnętrznej stronie przedramienia i pozostaw na noc lub do 48 godzin.

Jeśli po 48 godzinach nie nastąpi podrażnienie, olejki eteryczne powinny być bezpieczne, abyś mogła zacząć stosować je rozcieńczone na skórze.

Jeśli zauważysz jakiekolwiek podrażnienie, zmyj je olejem nośnym, nigdy wodą.

Najczęstszą przyczyną podrażnienia są:

- Niewystarczająco rozcieńczony olejek eteryczny nałożony na skórę,

- Nierozcieńczony lub słabo rozpuszczony olejek eteryczny w kąpieli.
