Did you know that certain colours can make you look younger (or older)?

This is a topic I’ve been really fascinated by and have been exploring more recently. It all started when I noticed a pattern in my photos that I didn’t like and ended up not wanting to share them on social media. The common thread? I was wearing either burgundy or cool-toned colours in all of them!

Looking more closely, I realised I didn’t like those photos because my skin looked dull, I appeared to have dark circles under my eyes, or I seemed to have fine lines in places I don’t actually have.

So I started consciously avoiding those colours and made an effort to understand which ones truly flatter me. I already knew that warm, earthy tones like olive green, muted mustard, and beige tend to suit me well, but I’d never really thought about why or what other tones might work until that point.

I even asked ChatGPT to help me with a personal colour analysis by uploading a clear photo in natural light, and the results really made sense!

As it turns out, the colours we wear can genuinely affect how fresh or tired we look. Some shades naturally brighten our face, smooth our skin tone, and make us look more radiant, while others can highlight shadows, fine lines, or dullness. It’s all about finding the tones that work *with* our natural colouring.

I’m planning to get a proper in-person colour analysis soon, but in the meantime, expect to see me in mostly Soft Autumn tones

Have you ever noticed how certain colours make you glow while others seem to add years? What’s the colour that makes you feel your most radiant? Let me know in the comments!

P.S. I recently shared photo No1 in my stories as my favourite from this summer, and I don’t think it was just the dreamy background or the great-looking guy next to me I was also wearing my new light chocolate dress, and now I know why I felt so good in it!

P.P.S. Swipe to the very end to see a photo from last Christmas I never dared to post on IG... everything just looked off. That jumper is sooo going away this year!

If had a penny for every time I heard the phrase "I could live just on Greek salad," I'd be a millionaire!! Well, that's basically what I've been doing these past few weeks in Greece. With the heat in full swing, I’ve been reaching only for fresh and hydrating foods... and I can happily confirm, IT IS possible to live on Greek salad (aka Horiatiki) for a while! 😁

As a face wellness expert, what I love most about this dish is that beyond its overall health benefits, each ingredient in a Greek salad has its own unique, skin-loving properties ✨

Here's a quick breakdown for you:

- Cucumber: Hydrates and soothes skin with anti-inflammatory effects.
- Tomato: Protects against UV damage with antioxidant lycopene.
- Red onion: Fights inflammation and bacteria for clearer skin.
- Kalamata olives: Nourish skin and help combat ageing with vitamin E.
- Green bell pepper: Boosts collagen and brightens skin with vitamin C.
- Feta cheese: Supports skin regeneration with vitamin B2 and probiotics.
- Olive oil: Moisturises and protects skin with antioxidants.
- Lemon juice: Evens skin tone with vitamin C.
- Oregano: Reduces acne with antibacterial properties.

šŸ„— So are you a fan of Greek salad? How long do you think you could go eating only that before saying 'enough'? 😁

If you asked me to tell you one moment from my adult life that encapsulates the relationship I have with my father, this photo would be it. While my dad was actually miles away.

September 2018, and I had just arrived in Guildford and collected the keys to my dorm from the Admissions desk. I'm just about to get into the flat, dying to meet my new flatmates. It was one of my happiest moments ever. That sweet feeling of freedom and possibility after having lived my whole life on a small island... I was embarking on an exciting adventure, having literally no idea where it would take me. For the first time.

Three months back, in Cyprus, I had just announced to my family my decision to move to the UK for a year for a full-time MSc (little did I know one year would become seven!). Being academically educated himself, my dad has always been a huge advocate of education and going for opportunities, so I knew he'd take it well. But it was obvious he hadn't seen this one coming... and yet, he calmly responded as always: "If this is what you want, my love. Let me know how I can best support you."

So yes, among those overwhelming feelings of excitement on that first day at uni, there was one powerful, grounding, yet equally overwhelming feeling. It was the sense of immense safety I felt (that has always been there since I can remember), knowing that my dad's got my back in all possible ways. And this made all the difference to me in that first year especially. And the fact that he never made me feel guilty for going away.

I'm not going to break the stereotype of daughters having a soft spot for their dads... I'm a daddy's girl, far and wide! šŸ˜„ Thank you for everything! I love you! x

February 2003. I sat in the dermatologist’s waiting room, full of hope. Surely, I was in the right hands.
ā€œYou’ll be on Roaccutane for 6 months, with monthly liver tests. You can’t get pregnant for the next two years,ā€ he said casually.

My stomach sank. It didn’t feel right. But what choice did I have? I said yes.

What followed was relentless skin shedding — and with it, the last bits of my confidence. I’d handed over my power to a system meant to protect me.

Fast forward: Toronto, July 2018.
Wandering a bustling outdoor market, lost in vibrant colours and scents.
ā€œWould you like to try our organic facial oils?ā€

I turned to say no (oily skin, after all), but paused. A warm smile. A peaceful stall. I stepped closer.
She handed me a small amber bottle. We had a lovely chat. "Massage it well into the skin,ā€ she said softly before I left.

That evening, I stood in front of the mirror, holding that bottle like something sacred. Unsure what to do, I searched for tutorials. Video after video on facial massage appeared. I followed along slowly… until something shifted.

With each stroke, I felt empowered. Seen. Reconnected. Beautiful — without having to convince myself of it.

That day, I realised nature had already given me what I needed: pure, skin-loving ingredients… and the healing power of my own two hands.

And that’s how the SheFacedItā„¢ Method was born.
For every woman who’s ever felt powerless, just like I did.

For me, it was Roaccutane. A drug so strong it came with liver tests, pregnancy bans, and a depression risk of 11% (a side effect I was never warned about). I got the clear complexion I was praying for — until the reality of hypersensitive, imbalanced skin hit.

For you, it might be Botox. Fillers. Harsh chemicals in pricey bottles. Or hiding behind layers of makeup.
Quick fixes with big promises, but no sustainable results.

The truth is, you’re not helpless. The power to care for your face is already within you. When you trust your intuition, you become your own skincare expert.

Until then, I’m here to guide you.
When you’re ready to take back your power and experience real, lasting radiance, send me a message.

I’m so grateful you’re here.

C x

It’s World Environment Day, and what better way to celebrate than by sharing a few of the self-care gems I recently discovered while judging for the ! Each one is good for you and kind to the planet too šŸŒ

Caffeine + Rosemary Shampoo
This water-activated powder shampoo is such a find! A well-deserved Silver winner - and Gold for Innovation - at the Awards. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, and free from SLS and alcohol. It lathers beautifully and leaves my hair and scalp feeling super fresh. It’s also biodegradable, and one little 55g tin saves the equivalent of three plastic bottles. Definitely coming on holiday with me this summer!

Skin Relief & Renewal Body & Scalp Oil
Free from harsh ingredients that can harm us or the environment, this Silver winner in the Problem Skin category is now a go-to in my bathroom. I don’t have sensitive skin, but its earthy scent and gentle formula have made it part of my bedtime routine. I also started using it as a scalp oil lately (guilty of hot showers šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø), and it’s been helping so much with dryness. Comes in a glass bottle with a handy pump too, which I love.

Nourishing Nail Oil
A Bronze Award winner in the Hand, Foot & Nail Care category, and now a permanent fixture on my nightstand. As a frequent hand-washer, my nails are always in need of love. So I’ve been massaging this in before hand cream, and they feel stronger and more hydrated already. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, sustainably packaged, and free from palm oil, SLS, GMOs, artificial fragrance, and synthetic preservatives. Another one that’s as kind to the planet as it is to the skin.

The way I see it, it’s not about being perfect. It’s about making better, more conscious choices, one step at a time. Just pausing before we buy to ask: is this good for me AND the planet?

Hope you’ve enjoyed discovering these little sustainable treasures with me, and maybe one of them will be your next clean self-care fave 🫶

Yesterday, a photo popped up on my phone. It was taken exactly 9 years ago, during a holiday in the Greek islands (Photo No.2). I was 30 at the time, on a relaxing trip, well rested, no stress… and yet my skin looked tired, dull, and dehydrated.

You can also probably spot the acne around my chin, cheeks, and forehead. And, actually, I remember not wanting to be in the photo - I said yes only because I didn’t want to seem difficult.

Then I looked at a more recent photo, taken 5 months ago during a weekend in Rye (Photo No.1). I couldn’t quite believe it. Nearly 9 years after the older photo, and yet I looked so much more radiant, glowing, and confident in my own skin.

I actually took that photo myself, to post on social media! Something I could never have imagined doing back then.

This wasn’t an overnight transformation. It came from years of learning, experimenting, and slowly building better, healthier habits. From feeling confused before I felt clear. I invested countless hours studying and training to earn my certifications in Holistic Health, Face Yoga, and Hypnotherapy. I supported clients, taught what I’d learned, and kept refining as I went. I’ve been doing the work, both personally and professionally. And through it all, I discovered what actually moves the needle - and just as importantly, what doesn’t.

The good news? You don’t need to spend years figuring it all out. And you definitely don’t need three certifications! I’ve already done all that and narrowed it down to what actually makes a difference.

āœ”ļø A 5-step morning ritual
āœ”ļø Takes under 10 minutes
āœ”ļø Supports your skin and confidence from the inside out

If you’re ready to finally start looking fresh, nourished, and naturally glowing - without needing layers of makeup to feel good in your skin - comment below or DM me with 'RITUAL’. I’m putting the final touches on a practical, no-fuss skin-transforming guide, and once it’s ready next week, you’ll be the first to get access - completely free.

Your glow-up doesn’t have to be something you postpone until ā€˜after summer’ anymore. Because yes, it really can be this simple.

I remember feeling honestly… a bit shocked.

I was 30 and still living in Cyprus at the time, working long hours in my corporate job and being a volunteer cat rescuer almost full-time on the side.

I knew very little about holistic wellbeing or face wellness back then. I wasn’t sleeping enough, I wasn’t drinking enough water, and I was still using skincare that didn’t really serve my skin.

So yes, when I first saw that line, I was surprised. I hadn’t expected it so soon.

It even felt a little scary. ā€œSo is that it? That’s how long my youthfulness lasted?ā€

I remember frantically booking a facial, asking friends and family for anti-ageing tips, and spending my lunch breaks at work deep in Google rabbit holes.

There was definitely a phase of denial and inner negotiation.

But slowly, gently, acceptance came (wow I really did go through the five stages of grief there, didn’t I? šŸ˜…). And before long, that little frown line actually started to feel like a kind of quiet conversation between me and my body.

Every night before bed, I’d check in with it.
If it looked deep and tense, I knew I’d pushed too hard that day.
If it was soft, barely there, it meant I’d prioritised my wellbeing. That I’d said no more than I’d said yes. That I’d made space for myself.

That tiny line got me thinking differently - not just about how I treated my face, but how I treated myself.

Ok, your turn now :)
How did you feel the first time you noticed a line on your face?
