Love chorizo?
After a weekend in San Sebastian I decided to set myself a challenge. Create a dish based around chorizo that won't send you to an early grave with heart disease!
Hopefully it contains all the flavour without endangering your health. Give it a try and let me know how you get on.

Is your sweet tooth your nemesis?
Just caught up on The Truth About Sugar on iPlayer, well worth a watch. Here are the highlights...
1. Sugar is sugar - honey, maple syrup, white or brown...it all has the same effect on your body
2. Fizzy drinks are loaded with sugar - try replacing them with home made versions with real fruit pieces and carbonated water
3. Avoid shop bought sauces - it's really simple to make your own and you can add fresh fruit like pineapple to give it a sweet kick
4. Always read the label - savoury products often contain as much added sugar as sweet. Know what you're eating!
5. Artificial sweeteners are safe - the link between sugar and diabetes / heart disease / cancer is real and proven. Swapping sugar for sweeteners will benefit you overall
