I joined Emma’s team on hair & makeup but also art directing the ideas of the day as we shared a vision in creating something that truly combines both the modern, undeniably cool spirit of living in London with all the traditional aspects of it’s grandeur and history.
Thank you to & for so beautifully embodying this vision - you made it work and feel so authentic.

🌼Moving from ‘child/family’ skincare to TWEEN/TEEN skincare can be a challenging one for parents - especially if your still young (6-9 yr old) child is asking for more ‘grown-up’ products. This list is for parents of younger tweens who want to stick to natural, safe and gentle cosmetics for their kids. I’d say anywhere 5+ - 12 (or older - all these products can be used by sensitive adults too!)

*FRAGRANCE* - SO tricky - the cleanest, safest option for younger girls is just using floral waters! You can use any brand - I just like these for some variety. For deo - there are obviously loads of options - steer clear of baking soda options for sensitive skin (especially if they’re already choosing to shave).

My first time to Italy thanks to working with The Ocean Race doing hair & makeup for Bailey Bass.
Managed a few hours to walk through Genova which was a real mixed bag of feelings and aesthetics.

Ate nothing but bread/pasta based food for 3 days - but at least they know how to make it good. Probs ate an entire loaf’s worth of bruschetta on the team dinner and it was worth it.
Met an incredible and all round very lovely team of people who make function. And incredibly inspiring talks from a youth panel passionate about ocean and climate conservation.

Grateful for opportunities for travel for work (it’s not my norm) but always welcome more!

A lovely break from the usual.

2016 - Wow - 10 years have gone by in a flash ⚡️
Let’s just say I didn’t realise it was so eventful

1. days with the launch of - I was obsessed with the glow
2. My bestie had a cafe in
3. Gave a few makeup masterclasses at the original
4. Tried on outfits for the Versailles Ball (did not go & was too tall for all the period costumes)
5. Scoured Paris with my French connection .the.boat who has a PhD in French Art History - this makes for very handy running commentary
6. Discovered & fell in love with - bought the most expensive toothpaste to date.
7. Because 2016 filters!
8. Became British 🇬🇧
9. Immediately flew to Spain 🇪🇸
10. Made a Hemsley Birthday cake for

This year I tried my hand at some analogue picture taking.
Still waiting to finish the film from the last 3 months - but as far as ‘25 went - these were pretty much the ‘best of’ moments. (Gosh guys, it was a tough year of not very much of anything groundbreaking for me). Bring on some action in 2026.

Wonderful to be part of the cookbook team once again - I’m constantly inspired by Ella’s commitment to making healthy eating and cooking from scratch easy and accessible to everyone. 🥬

How she never runs out of recipe ideas when I can hardly ever think of anything interesting to make without help, I will never know.
Well done team Ella for another must have addition to our cookbook shelves. Love always working with this beautiful team of women.

S K I N P R E P is ALL about hydration!
Let me just say this once and for all - if your skin is not hydrated, your foundation will not look good, even if you have oily skin - ESPECIALLY with natural foundations that contain less or no silicones.

Start with a clean face (using your regular skincare routine & moisturising etc). If you’re starting midday just do a once over cleanse with a micellar water.

STEP 1: A hydrating mist is essential for giving some moisture and a slightly damp base on the skin for other products to absorb properly. My favourites are:
1. Ultra Revitalising Elixer - essentially a hydrating vitamin spritz for the skin
2. Herbal Face Tonic - exactly what it says on the bottle!
3. Rose Hydrating Mist - ingredients that soothe and hydrate especially sensitive skin
4. Hydrating Accelerator - full of deep hydration ingredients.

STEP 2
This is my most important section for skin prep - a lightweight, water based hyaluronic serum that keeps moisture locked on the surface of the skin and smoothes dry patches before you apply makeup.
5. Ideal Moisture Level Serum - the main primer in my kit for over 10 yrs - I can’t live without it (Rebalancing Serum is the same answer for combo/oily skin)
6. Maya Hyaluronic Serum - 72 hours hydration serum
7. Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum - with a combo of Nordic hydration plant ingredients
8. Le Sérum Anti-Soif - 19 active ingredients in this thirst quenching serum

STEP 3
Traditional primers are not for me - I predate the primer craze and never quite got why you want thicker layers of product - since most are made purely from silicone. But these natural makeup brands have created beautiful primers that add onto the effect of the serums above.
9. Re-evolve Radiance Locking Primer - lightweight with a subtle glow with & smooth soft finish
10. True Skin Radiant Priming Serum - part of gives hydration & smooth texture
11. Organic Matte Perfection - good for combo skin and those seeking out über natural formulation

🦢I thought I’d give a little insight into the different looks as they appear in natural light. I had so much fun working and creating with this lovely team of talented women. I have of course used only natural and conscious brands throughout.

The dresses were so dreamy and inspiring - the way bridal gowns should be ✨

R E M O V I N G eye makeup daily can become quite tedious and also be harsh on the sensitive & fine skin around your eyes over time. These are the products I would recommend for cleaning your skin that aren’t harsh but work to cleanse, repair and re-nourish all at the same time. 🐚
STEP 1: Best for removing mascara and eye-makeup first!
1. Dara’s Water - a favourite for my kit to remove makeup easily and gently.
2. Cleansing Water & Toner - another kit favourite.
3. Organic Jojoba Oil (or any organic jojoba oil). A few drops on a damp cotton round.
4. Organic Cotton rounds - use for easy removal of makeup around the eyes. Reusable rounds or a corner of your damp muslin cloth are a more sustainable option.

STEP 2: For those who like a double cleanse or wear a full face of makeup - use a cleansing balm or oil to melt down your makeup before washing your skin.
5. Clementine Cleansing Balm - gently melts product and dirty residue.
6. Coconut Clean Cleansing Balm - full of nourishing ingredients whilst it breaks down makeup and impurities.
7. Makeup-removal Cleansing Oil - affordable and simple oil remover.
8. Halo Cleansing Oil - the perfect makeup remover for more combination and oily skin.

STEP 3: Washing your skin with a gentle cleanser and water gets rid of oily residue and helps to get your skin ready for rehydration - always use a cleanser that prioritises skin hydration and is not stripping.
9. Purifying Cleansing Cream - my ultimate hydrating cleanser - all skin types.
10. Gentle Cream Cleanser - gentle on sensitive skin.
11. Any organic muslin cloth - always rinse your skin with a damp cloth to lightly exfoliate and get rid of residue.
12. Almond Cleansing Milk - gentle for sensitive and mature skin
13. Le Nettoyant Pureté - gentle gel cleanser suitable for sensitive + oily and combination skin
