S K I N P R E P is ALL about hydration!
Let me just say this once and for all - if your skin is not hydrated, your foundation will not look good, even if you have oily skin - ESPECIALLY with natural foundations that contain less or no silicones.

Start with a clean face (using your regular skincare routine & moisturising etc). If you’re starting midday just do a once over cleanse with a micellar water.

STEP 1: A hydrating mist is essential for giving some moisture and a slightly damp base on the skin for other products to absorb properly. My favourites are:
1. Ultra Revitalising Elixer - essentially a hydrating vitamin spritz for the skin
2. Herbal Face Tonic - exactly what it says on the bottle!
3. Rose Hydrating Mist - ingredients that soothe and hydrate especially sensitive skin
4. Hydrating Accelerator - full of deep hydration ingredients.

STEP 2
This is my most important section for skin prep - a lightweight, water based hyaluronic serum that keeps moisture locked on the surface of the skin and smoothes dry patches before you apply makeup.
5. Ideal Moisture Level Serum - the main primer in my kit for over 10 yrs - I can’t live without it (Rebalancing Serum is the same answer for combo/oily skin)
6. Maya Hyaluronic Serum - 72 hours hydration serum
7. Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum - with a combo of Nordic hydration plant ingredients
8. Le Sérum Anti-Soif - 19 active ingredients in this thirst quenching serum

STEP 3
Traditional primers are not for me - I predate the primer craze and never quite got why you want thicker layers of product - since most are made purely from silicone. But these natural makeup brands have created beautiful primers that add onto the effect of the serums above.
