Also known as adiposis edematosa, cellulite commonly occurs in about 90 - 98% total of women. Women suffer more with this condition than men.

It is a non-infectious & non-inflammatory condition.

Naturally, the contructions of the men & women,s subcutaneous tissues (tissues directly under the skin) differ.

Men’s connective tissue structure between the dermis (corium) & the subcutaneous tissues are thicker than the women’s.

With ageing, the dermis already thinner in women than men goes more thinner & looser, allowing fat cells to push into this looser chamber areas.

The connective tissue layers within the subcutaneous fat (fat directly under skin) tissues becomes thinner.

Therefore, the thinning & breaking down of the connective tissues in the dermis contributes majorly to cellulite and its ‘bucket shot’ granular feel sensation on the skin.
