Reading the responses to how the models felt during the process gave me happy tears. It felt like a really special feminist, body positive, rebellious thing to do.

When I was 8 I entered a fancy dress competition. I absolutely idolised my older cousin (still do), and I asked her to help me get ready. She gave me ripped clothes, fake piercings and Gwen Stefani style messy buns sprayed bright pink. As a pretty shy child felt so punk and powerful in that moment. It was one of the first times I experienced how beauty can allow you to play with emotion and character. That moment inspired this look, more grungy and messy than my usual style, but still with fresh skin for a modern finish.
