Today’s peaceful warrior is our beloved , one of our favorite Iyengar yoga teachers! With his little puppy .bodyguard.gangster by his side, Ed spreads yoga knowledge across London.

We asked him to perform a couple of his favorite yoga poses, and here’s our favourite pick: Surya Yantrasana, also known as Compass Pose or Sundial Pose.
The name is derived from three Sanskrit words: “Surya” meaning Sun, “Yantra” meaning Instrument, and “Asana” meaning Pose. In this pose, the body forms a shape resembling a compass which symbolises guidance and clarity. The straight leg represents a powerful marker of time and space, directing the practitioner towards their inner self and deeper awareness.
