Dark circles. Everyone has them. Not everyone knows why,or how to actually treat them. 👁️

Let me break it down.

Dark circles develop through a combination of mechanisms: progressive thinning of the periorbital skin making underlying vasculature more visible, volume loss in the tear trough casting shadows, pigmentation changes, chronic low-grade inflammation, and degradation of the extracellular matrix. It’s complex, and it’s biological.

So why does filler so often get reached for first?

Dermal filler has a role in the right patient, but it addresses structure, not biology. It doesn’t improve skin quality, reduce inflammation, or restore the health of the tissue itself. And in the delicate periorbital area, overfilling or the Tyndall effect can actually worsen the appearance of darkness. Filler is a structural solution to what is fundamentally a biological problem.

This is where Sunekos Performa by Professional Dietetics changes the conversation entirely.

Sunekos Performa combines a patented formula of hyaluronic acid with a specific blend of amino acids that work synergistically to stimulate fibroblast activity. The result is genuine regeneration: new collagen and elastin production, meaningful reduction in inflammation, and restoration of the extracellular matrix, the scaffolding that keeps skin firm, resilient, and truly healthy. Over a course of treatments, the periorbital skin thickens, hydration improves, and the darkness recedes because the tissue itself is being renewed from within.

This is regenerative aesthetics. Not a correction of appearance, a restoration of biology.

If dark circles have felt like something you just have to live with, I’d encourage you to think differently about what your skin actually needs.

There’s a quiet confidence that comes with skin that simply looks well. Not overdone. Not frozen. Just… luminous, clear, and entirely yours.

The 3D Miracle Treatment on the UltraClear laser is one of those rare things in aesthetics that genuinely works across every decade. Fine lines softened. Pigmentation lifted. Pores refined. Texture transformed. And whether you’re 28 or 58, navigating your skin’s first signs of change or the deeper shifts that come with menopause, the result is the same, skin that feels like the best version of itself.

Less than 24 hours downtime. Real laser technology. No compromises.

Today I spent the day doing something I genuinely love, and that not every aesthetic doctor does, studying anatomy.

This isn’t a textbook diagram. This is a clay sculpture I made by hand at an anatomy masterclass with Merz Aesthetics, alongside a room full of fellow clinicians, all medically qualified, all choosing to deepen their knowledge rather than simply rely on what they already know.

Every layer you can see here, muscle, fascia, nerve, artery, vein, sits beneath the skin of every patient I treat. The yellow threads are nerves. The red, arteries and veins. The brown, the muscles of facial expression. Each one matters.

Each one demands respect. When I inject, I’m not just placing a product. I’m navigating a living map. Understanding exactly where these structures lie is what separates a safe treatment from a dangerous one, and it’s what stands between a beautiful result and a vascular occlusion.

If you’re considering any aesthetic treatment, this is the question worth asking your practitioner: when did you last study your anatomy?
Because the best injectors never stop learning.

The word “prejuvenation” is everywhere right now. But is it genuinely smart preventative medicine, or are we creating a problem to sell a solution? Swipe through for my honest take, including the part the industry doesn’t really want talking about!

This is just 1 week after treatment…

Skin looks smoother. Brighter. Healthier.
This is just the start of something bigger.

UltraClear works differently to traditional lasers. Instead of aggressively resurfacing the skin, it creates precise micro-columns of energy deep within the dermis, stimulating collagen and elastin where it actually matters.

The result?
It’s not just about getting a quick glow, but actually helping your skin to regenerate and get better over time, like in the weeks and months that follow.

In this patient, we targeted:

• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Uneven texture
• Pigmentation
• Overall skin quality

With a combination approach to treat both superficial and deeper layers in one session.

Downtime is minimal compared to traditional ablative lasers, but the results continue to improve long after the skin has healed.

I’m finding this treatment to be really effective for getting my skin to look its best, so it’s becoming a favorite of mine for achieving true skin rejuvenation.

If you’re noticing your skin looking tired, crepey, or uneven, this is where I would start.

1 week after UltraClear… and this is just the beginning 🙌🏼

This patient came to me with concerns around fine lines, uneven skin texture, and pigmentation. What you’re seeing here is their skin just 7 days post-treatment… at a stage where healing is still very much underway.

At this point, it’s important to understand:
The early improvement you can see is largely due to initial skin resurfacing and hydration changes, not the full collagen response yet.

So what happens next?

Over the coming 4–12 weeks, UltraClear continues to stimulate:
• Collagen production
• Elastin remodelling
• Progressive improvement in skin tone and texture

This is where the real transformation develops quietly beneath the surface… and then gradually reveals itself.

Why I like UltraClear as a treatment option

It’s not about aggressive resurfacing or chasing downtime.
It’s about controlled, intelligent stimulation of the skin.

UltraClear allows us to:
• Treat multiple concerns in one session
• Customise depth and energy depending on the area (for example, delicate periocular vs lower face)
• Improve skin quality without significantly disrupting daily life

Most importantly, it works with the biology of the skin, not against it.

Is it suitable for everyone?

When used appropriately, UltraClear can be adapted for a wide range of skin types and concerns. That said, treatment choice and settings should always be tailored following a proper consultation and assessment.

If you’re starting to notice changes in skin quality and want something that looks natural, progressive, and refined, this is where these treatments come into their own.

A privilege to be part of something truly special.

This week I had the opportunity to join The Kate Goldie Experience as a trainer, working alongside an exceptional group of clinicians and welcoming delegates from the USA in collaboration with Merz Aesthetics

Kate is, without question, one of the most forward-thinking minds in regenerative aesthetics today. Her approach goes beyond treatment, it’s about understanding the biology of ageing and using techniques that restore, rather than simply replace. Being able to teach within that environment is something I genuinely value.

What stood out most was the shared commitment to learning. Not just for those attending, but for all of us teaching. In aesthetics, complacency is where outcomes start to drift. Continuous education, refinement of technique, and open discussion are what elevate results and, more importantly, maintain patient safety.

When we teach, we don’t just pass on techniques, we shape how treatments are delivered across clinics, countries, and ultimately, to patients. That responsibility matters.

It was also a pleasure to work alongside such talented colleagues, including Dr Sarah Davies and Dr Victoria Das , both of whom bring their own depth of expertise and perspective to regenerative practice.

Experiences like this are a reminder that great results are never accidental. They come from knowledge, precision, and a willingness to keep evolving.

And that’s exactly how it should be. 😌

There is a certain point when skin stops reflecting how you feel.

It is not dramatic.
It is subtle.

Texture becomes uneven.
Luminosity fades.
Fine lines settle in a little deeper than they used to.

And no serum quite touches it.

This is why I have introduced UltraClearÂŽ laser to the clinic.

Not as another device.
But as a system of intelligent skin regeneration.

UltraClear allows me to work at different depths depending on what your skin actually needs.

For those wanting refinement without disruption, 3DMIRACL™ restores glow, smooths texture and enhances radiance with minimal downtime.

For early collagen loss or uneven tone, CLEAR works a little deeper, encouraging renewal where the skin is beginning to soften.

For more established lines, acne scarring or significant sun damage, ULTRA stimulates structural remodelling and meaningful collagen production.

And for precise architectural concerns, Laser-Coring™ delivers targeted dermal regeneration exactly where it is required.

This is not about looking different.
It is about looking clearer. Fresher. Stronger.

Texture improved.
Luminosity restored.
Collagen stimulated.
Rejuvenation, intelligently delivered.

If your skin no longer feels like it matches your energy, let’s talk.

Consultations are now open in Marylebone.

Juläine, a new generation bio stimulator, now integrated into my clinical practice.

Juläine is designed to support the skin from within, improving skin quality, firmness, and structural integrity by stimulating your own collagen production over time. Rather than adding volume or changing facial shape, it works by strengthening the skin and gently rebalancing facial tissues in a very natural way.

What makes Juläine particularly valuable is how well it integrates into a layered treatment approach.

Used alongside Botox, it enhances skin strength while expression lines are softened.
Combined with dermal fillers, it supports facial structure and skin tightening, allowing results to look lighter, fresher, and never overdone.
Paired with skin boosters, it moves beyond hydration into true regeneration and long term skin improvement.

The results with Juläine are gradual and progressive. Skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more resilient, with improvements continuing to develop over the weeks and months following treatment as collagen stimulation increases.

This is not about instant transformation.
It is about subtle, intelligent treatments that respect facial anatomy and age beautifully over time.

For patients seeking natural rejuvenation, improved skin quality, and results that continue to evolve, Juläine has become an important part of my treatment philosophy.

If you would like to explore whether Juläine is suitable for you, a personalised consultation is the best place to begin.

Niacinamide done properly 🤍

Not all niacinamide products are created equal.
More is not always better, and 10 percent formulas are not necessary for most skin types.

Niacinamide works best when it is part of a well balanced formula, supporting the skin barrier rather than overwhelming it.

When used correctly, niacinamide can
• Calm redness and sensitivity
• Support the skin barrier
• Improve uneven skin tone
• Help regulate oil production
• Be helpful for acne prone and rosacea prone skin

Here are some UK accessible niacinamide containing products I often recommend because they are well formulated and gentle on the skin barrier:

• La Roche Posay Toleriane Double Repair Moisturiser
Ceramides and niacinamide to support barrier function and reduce irritation. Excellent for sensitive or compromised skin.

• CeraVe PM Facial Moisturising Lotion
Lightweight hydration with niacinamide and ceramides. A great option for combination or oilier skin types.

• Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
A low irritation cleanser with barrier supporting ingredients, ideal if your skin is reactive or easily inflamed.

• La Roche Posay Retinol B3 Serum
A gentle retinol combined with niacinamide to help minimise irritation while improving texture and skin quality over time.

The key message
Niacinamide should support your routine, not dominate it.

If your skin stings, flushes, or feels tight after using a product, it is often not because niacinamide is bad, but because the formulation or concentration is wrong for your skin.

Skincare should strengthen the skin, not challenge it.

If you are unsure what your skin actually needs, this is exactly what we explore during a consultation 🤍

Nasolabial folds aren’t really the problem… volume loss is. 🙊

In modern aesthetic medicine, we no longer simply “fill the line”.

As we age, deeper structural support is lost in areas such as the temples, cheeks, jawline and around the nose. This causes the face to descend, making folds like the nasolabial line appear heavier and deeper.

The most natural results come from restoring balance and support, not overfilling one area.

By carefully treating key points of volume loss, we can gently lift and rebalance the face, allowing the fold to soften naturally.
And if direct treatment is needed, it is done using very small, precise amounts, never heavy filling.

The goal is not to erase lines completely.
It is to help you look fresher, lighter, and still very much like yourself.

Every face is different, which is why treatment planning always starts with a detailed consultation.

If nasolabial folds are something you have been concerned about, I would be very happy to talk you through your options.
