Agy K personal training & nutrition
Agy I get a lot of people asking me what I do for my own training and what do I eat. Being strong and healthy for me is the number one priority.
I therefore decided to open a page where I will share my tips with you and hopefully have a positive contribution on your lifestyle. I don't believe in starving yourself to achieve an unhealthy level of body fat in order to "look good". Health is about regular exercise, sufficient intake of good food and even having the occasional treat to keep you sane. I like my food and I eat plenty of it. I do

This page has been out of action for a number of years as I became severely ill with a chronic disease initiated by a virus called ME/CFS and related comorbidities including dysautonomia. It is what long Covid was before long Covid was famous. It started in 2015 and progressed in 2017 and 2018. Any activity (ESPECIALLY exercise) physical, cognitive or emotional beyond my tiny energy envelope makes it worse, sometimes permanently. I am now also c🤐vid v🤐ccine injured and mostly in a wheelchair. I am almost completely housebound and spend probably 22 hours a day laying down doing nothing. No TV, no reading, no talking, no sitting upright. You can find me on Instagram agy.lena

Cheap, healthy eating tips I wrote last year - below
In the news today: more and more people suffering malnutrition due to food poverty. Yes food has become really quite expensive and yes there are people out there so poor even in this developed country, unable to get enough food in let alone good food but for vast majority it is a case of very poor food choices rather than a poor wallet. Every time I go to the supermarket, my jaw nearly drops to the floor when I see the things people have in their trolleys. I am saddest when it's a family with children who are fed this junk and grow up not knowing any different. Little wonder that they carry on this trend for most of their lives and become obese.. For most of these families money is not their biggest barrier to a healthier shop. I would go as far as to say it's laziness. If they can afford a massive trolley full of multi bags of crisps, processed meatballs, pizza, burgers and whatever other junk they can get their hands on, then they can afford a bag of apples, bananas, beans, lentils etc... When I decided to go back to university in my thirties, I knew things would be hard. I have gone from spending about £100 a week on organic this and that to about half that (and I am very particular with what I like, it is possible to spend even less). Frozen veg retains nutrients and own brand stuff will cost you about £1 for a bag that will last you quite a few meals. Granted, maybe frozen peas or sweetcorn are not as lovely as some other fresh veg but surely they are still a better choice than frozen fish fingers?! A massive bag of unwashed spinach is £1.50 at asda, a bag of kale is £1, their cheapest tomatoes are 69 pence.. yes, yet again not as lovely as tomatoes on the vine but AGAIN, better than a packet of crisps! If you want to eat fish, a tin of mackerel sets you back about 70 pence and even a bag of frozen salmon (I think four pieces) is about £3. Carrots.. my favourite LOL... you can get huge bags for just over £1. A massive jar of olives is about £1.40. Eggs in asda are £2 for 15. The list of examples is endless. It is more than possible to eat a healthy diet on a low budget. As usual, for most it is easier to blame something else (prices) than take responsibility. So why not challenge yourself this weekend and on your next shop see what healthy bargains you can find? It can actually be fun and very satisfying. I love browsing though the scrap bucket. Yesterday I bought a bag of carrots for 49p which I made my dessert with and two bags of salads for a few pence each. Remember, unless it's meat, use by date only refers to when the food is at its optimum. You can safely eat it after that date. Lastly, the increase in cases of rickets are due to vitamin D deficiency. Thanks to messages about the dangers of sun exposure we have gone so far to protect ourselves that we now don't get enough. You can't get it through sunscreen. A little sun is good for you :) HAPPY FRIDAY FOLKS!

If you don't believe me that low carbohydrate diets aren't good for you, take it from one of my university textbooks. You will eventually lose some body fat but that's only because your calorie intake is lower. So why not just save yourself all that trouble of eating less carbs, eat all food groups but in smaller amounts. Never forget, rapid initial weight loss from ANY diet, is not from body fat. It is merely glycogen store and water loss. It is temporary and DOES NOT represent ANY actual weight loss.

Read the top paragraph.. This has got to be the biggest load of nonsense I heard this year. How will it increase congestion if all those people on bikes, taking up a fraction of space, would potentially be driving otherwise

I didn't know you can get salads with flowers in them 😃

Don't even open your mouth as I don't want to hear it! Unless you are lying in hospital unable to move, you CAN make time to exercise! If I can work full time, study for a degree in Biomedicine alongside and get top grades and I can find time to train and eat well, so can you.

You don't get it by thinking about it, talking about it, dreaming about it. You get it ONLY by hard work and dedication!

Here’s What You Need To Know About Protein Supplements The protein and amino acid supplement market is big business. Bars, shakes, giant tubs of powder and specialist amino acid supplements dominate supplement shelves. But the decision to use them is based more on slick marketing claims than anything else; protein supplements offer few real performance…

Haha! True! I only wear two types of clothes: gym gear or motorbike gear :D And I love it! Never a day when I stand in front of my wardrobe wondering what to wear :P same thing every day. And no, I don't actually wear the exact same thing, I do wash it LOL I just own the exact same stuff times 20 of each
You'll never know 😜👍

Here is my tip for keeping your trainers fresh (let's face it, they're not cheap so you have to look after them). Use biodegradable (you may know how I detest plastic bag waste), fragranced nappy sacks. They smell lovely and are environmentally friendly

Wouldn't surprise me if it was true... Have you seen his physique in that movie? Outstanding!
