The one thing I changed in my diet that made the biggest difference to my skin has been working to balance my blood sugar levels. Skin is a biological system. It reflects what is happening internally, not just what you apply topically.
For me, that meant being more deliberate with my nutrition—particularly around supporting the skin’s structure and function.
Nothing extreme. No rigid protocols.
Just a consistent approach that aligns with how the skin actually works, and a focus on more protein and less sugar!
It’s often overlooked when it comes to skin, but over time, it shows.

A skin peel should never be a generic experience. Here is how I approach it.
In my clinic, every peel is tailored. There is no standard protocol—because no two skins present in the same way.
Skin Peels are designed to support controlled exfoliation and encourage skin remodelling, with the aim of improving tone, texture, and overall skin quality.
Before any peel, I assess the skin carefully. The formulation is selected based on your skin type, your concerns, how much downtime you can tolerate , and what we are trying to achieve.
Most patients notice an immediate improvement in brightness. The more meaningful changes in texture and tone develop progressively with consistency.

One thing I never travel without is motion sickness patches — especially with the kids. They’re herbal, easy to use, can be discreetly placed behind the ear, and really helpful for long car journeys and flights.
I prefer gentle, non-medicated options where possible, and these have worked very well for us.
If you struggle with travel sickness, they’re definitely worth trying!

I am often asked whether Korean skincare is better than everything else.
The answer is: not automatically.
There are excellent Korean formulations, particularly for hydration, barrier support, and sunscreen. But good skincare is not defined by where it is made.
The best routine is the one that supports your skin consistently, with ingredients your skin actually needs.
Trends can be useful. But they should never replace understanding your own skin.

One of the most common things I hear in clinic is: “My skin changed almost overnight.”
Often, that feeling is linked to what many now call the collagen cliff — the stage when collagen loss becomes more noticeable, particularly during menopause.
Skin may feel thinner, less firm, less resilient. It can happen gradually, then suddenly feel obvious.
This is why I always talk about collagen support early. Not because ageing is something to fear, but because understanding your skin helps you care for it more effectively - and prevent the impact of the ‘collagen cliff’
