Sun exposure can damage the skin and cause premature signs of ageing, such as wrinkles, sun spots, and hyperpigmentation. To repair sun damage, we use IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) to rejuvenate the skin with minimal downtime.

IPL treatments are a gentle and effective way of restoring youthful skin. IPL treatments can reduce sun damage, age spots, and pigmentation problems, both red and brown.

Here, we can see the results on my own skin after just one IPL session.
It did flake off a little bit, and I applied SPF every day with an extra layer on the treated area.

I am very pleased with the results!

➡️ How does it work?

Brown spots, also referred to as “lentigines” in medical terms can be treated with Intense Pulsed Light.

Using a broad-spectrum light, and a series of gentle pulses, this light pe*****tes through the skin and is selectively absorbed by brown pigment particles within the skin (the melanin) and breaks them down. The pigment will then flake off in a few days, leaving a beautiful, flawless complexion. This method is safe and very effective.

➡️ Why does pigmentation occur ?

Pigmentation is the result of an excess of melanin in the skin. The cause may be hormonal, due to trauma, sun damage or ageing. 
The absence of regular use of sun protection can make the pigment go darker over time.

➡️ How many sessions are needed ?

In most cases, 3 to 6 sessions are required, but everyone is different. After that, some people may need occasional maintenance treatments to keep their skin looking young and healthy.
