2016 Challenge

I’m not too sure what was going on with my hair in the 2016 photo. I look like Pat Sharp in his heyday 😅
But I can’t remember the last time I was that slim.

Fast forward 10 years.
I’m 40 years old, a good couple of stone heavier, but so much more at peace and confident than I ever was back then.

Do I look the same? No.
Am I any less of a person because of that? Definitely not.

So many ladies tell me they won’t post their photos or talk on stories because they don’t look like they used to or they don’t want people from their past to see them.

But let’s be honest, nobody looks exactly the same as they did ten years ago. The people you’re trying to avoid have changed too.

We all age. Our weight goes up and down. We are not always glamorous and none of that defines us.

Don’t let this hold you back. Being more visible on my socials changed my business for the better. Your clients like you for you. They don’t care about your clothes size or whether you’ve got a perfect face of makeup on.

You have so much more to offer than how you look 💗

But in all seriousness, this is something that’s been on my mind for a long time, and I really wanted to share it properly, officially and honestly, so you can see just how dedicated I am to this change.

I’ve gone back and forth with this in my head for ages and haven’t really spoken about it to anyone. After everything that happened last year, I realised I was genuinely unhappy within parts of the industry, and I knew something had to change. Not a dramatic exit. Just a realignment that actually sits right with me.

And it all comes back to one thing.

Women supporting women.

Not just as a slogan. Not just something that sounds nice on a post. But something lived, practised and built into everything I do.

For me, this next chapter is about honesty, integrity, balance and community. About building something that feels good, sustainable and aligned, not rushed or forced.

For the first time in a long time, I’m genuinely excited for the future.
And let’s hope my 2026 review of the year is a much better read than last year’s 😆

A: Yes. In-person training is available in Hornchurch and Basildon, and I also offer in-salon training across London and Essex for individuals, teams, and salons who prefer face-to-face delivery.

Q: Are your courses accredited?
A: Yes, all of my courses are fully accredited and insurable, so you can confidently use your qualification in industry.

Q: Do you provide support after the course is completed?
A: Absolutely. Ongoing support is a big part of what I do. Learners receive continued guidance beyond their course, including access to a dedicated WhatsApp support group where you can ask questions, share experiences, and connect with other therapists.

Q: Do you offer online mentoring for beauty business growth?
A: Yes. I offer structured online mentoring designed to support you with confidence, clarity, and business growth. This includes access to my mentoring WhatsApp group, where members receive ongoing guidance, accountability, shared learning, and support from both me and other beauty professionals, wherever they are in the UK.

A: Yes, student discounts are available on selected kits.

A: Yes, flexible payment plans are available to help make training more accessible.

Q: When are courses available?
A: My online courses are self-paced, meaning you can train at a time that suits you, around work, family, and life.
In-person courses and mentoring are available on weekdays, evenings, and weekends, depending on location and availability.

Q: What are your customer service hours?
A: I always aim to reply to messages as quickly as possible and as soon as I’m able.
My usual response hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am–7pm, and Saturdays, 9am–3pm.
