There's so much talk of the terrible twos and no mention of the horrible threes…well that’s what I think it should be called!

I have moments where I can genuinely say I struggle. The not listening to a WORD I say, the answering back , the whining, the CONSTANT demand for things, the strops when she doesn't get her own way. She has mastered the art of manipulation.

I'm constantly wondering if I'm just a s**t parent who is getting it all wrong and sometimes I don’t enjoy being a mum which we can be allowed. It doesn’t mean I don’t love my children.

Even though I find this age the hardest I am also loving it most. This time around I’m doing a phase with another child so moments were before I could really sit back and assess the situation, now a days I don’t have that time.

She is literally my little best friend. We can chat for hours and she makes me so proud everyday. It seems all the gentle parenting is paying off in moments when she tells me how she is feeling.

Also when doing research about threenagers, apparently 4 and 5 year olds are just as bad 😩

Also my anxiety over the fact she is going to school in September is adding to the stress of this stage.

What stage have to found the hardest?

The Circus 1903 is back in London this christmas in the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo theatre. On Saturday went and checked it out. Neither me or Dennis had been to circus before (or at least that I could remember), so this was a new thing we was experiencing as a Family.

We were all mesmerised, yep even Violet (who apparently wasn’t meant to be in, no under 3s, we all know how I feel about leaving the girls).

We got to see loads of different acts from Jugglers, strongmen, contortionists, acrobats and trapeze artists and many more.

The show was abit of a long one but it was very interactive so it did help to keep Lily engaged. The last 30 mins were abit hard, but we made it through.

We was even lucky enough to jump on stage and meet peanut the Elephant. The Elephants were definitely Lily’s favourite and definitely stole the show.

It’s running until 30 December so it’s a great one for the week between Christmas and new year where everything is quiet.

Tickets are from £24

What’s more stressful trying to take a picture of Lily or going to Natural History during term.

I avoid these things during half terms at all cost! But when Lily asked to see the Dinosaur in the Christmas Jumper I had to take her … was pretty cute tbh 🤣

If you can face the crowds South Ken is a good half term day out and free !

Cabababarave = cabaret + babies + a rave+ print. Lizzie and Gemma two performers themselves wanted to create the type of event they would want to go to as Mums rather then the same old sensory class. They wanted to give parents the experience of a ‘big London night out’.. but one you can bring your baby to and still be home “before bedtime”.

I've been dying to try Cabababarave since they started a year ago. Usually targeted at parents and carers with 0-2s, but when I explained I would have a bigger one with me the girls were like “bring her along”.
Now I’ve been…maybe I should of left her at home. There were A LOT of babies and Lily being Lily you can see she was getting on a few people’s nerves, running around like a nutcase around pre crawlers!

The performers were amazing, had the girls absolutely mesmerised with their flying act. left me cracking up. Half time we found ourselves raving it up to some tunes with Glowsticks, bubbles and baby instruments.

One thing I will say this is definitely one to go to with a parent friend, you will have a good laugh.

I also have some good news the next three events are being held on a Saturday and I have a feeling they might be family ones so under 5s are welcome, but I will double check that.

VAULTS FESTIVAL in SE1 are running
Saturday 28th of January 2023
Saturday 18th of February 2023
Saturday 11th of March 2023

Tickets start from £23.50 which is for you and 1 children additional sibling is £5.

So two of Londons stations are getting redeveloped.

One being Euston due to and the other which is the busiest station in the country, Clapham Junction() ! Do we think we will see some children friendly areas at the stations and take note from new waiting area.

One thing I really love about the new waiting area within Kingcross station is that it has a breastfeeding friendly area for those who may not be comfortable wacking it out in front of everyone.

It also has a great little train set up which Lily always asks to go and see if we are cutting through the station to get home.

Anyways, there is an insta page called which brings awareness of how crap this country is in terms for children facilities when travelling.

In countries like Finland they have a play areas on some of the trains. You have airports in other parts of europe they have several play spaces inside. All this country cares about is how much money they can get out of people.

Thank you for providing this space in Kingcross.

How do you find travelling about in the UK? From Trains to service stations ?

As you know I’m very under the weather.

Saturday I had paid for the girls to see Santa are as it was mentioned in Timeout as being one of the best grottos bonus it was local.
I didn’t go but Daddy still went with the help of his Auntie who is basically the girls Nanny on Dennis’ side.

I was very upset to hear about how crap their experience was, although Daddy and Auntie said the best bit was doing colouring in and having a chat with the Elf Ken before seeing Santa.

Now, as you are paying to visit a Grotto, you kind of expect Santa to ask “ what did you put on your list” or just have a little chat. There was none of that.

Also…before entering the Grotto on camera Dennis has Santa moaning about how “f**king hot” it was.

The girls were in there for about 2 minutes maybe max 3. Took a pic and went. He wasn’t very engaging with Lily and it all felt very rushed. I get it we all have s**t days, hung over maybe but these small children really look forward to these events. Even when getting pictures he was getting fed up as you can see Lily wasn’t feeling this vibe.

Anyways we hit our 3 Santa max. I am all Santa’ed out even tho I didn’t go to the last.

How’s everyone’s Monday been, enjoying the snow?

Last Friday was so invited to see Theatre Royal Haymarket.

It was the second time we’ve been to see the show. The first time I feel I couldn’t give a review about it as Lily wasn’t in a good mood and just woke up. When we did try to take a pic she was smacking her own head (she does this to stay awake as she hates napping…😩).

This time around we were lucky. She wasn’t tired and in a better mood. We even got to see Santa on the stage.

I had a few people messaging me about taking a 2 year old, if they love Peppa then yes.
The show is bright, bouncy and toddler friendly. But still be prepared for them to get abit aggie, lucky there is an interval half way through.

Also be prepared for the flashing peppa merchandise. We didn’t give in the first visit but this time around I did 😩

Peppa Pig Best Day ever will be at Theatre Royal Haymarket until 1st January 2023. Tickets start from £10. . Definitely a great Xmas present, maybe make Nanny & Granny take them as to be honset It’s not re

Thank you for inviting us
